Reincarnated To Save The Enemy
A warrior reborn not to conquer, but to protect the one he once swore to kill.

In his final breath, General Kyren felt nothing but hatred.
His sword was broken. His army, slaughtered. And standing above him was the Sorceress of the East—Serenah, the one responsible for turning the world into a graveyard of ash.
With a shattered voice, he cursed her. "You took everything from me… I’ll find you… even in death."
Her response was a soft, almost sorrowful whisper. “Then find me. But don’t come with hate next time.”
Then everything went dark.
Kyren opened his eyes.
But the skies were no longer blood-red.
He was… in a cradle?
Tiny hands. A child’s voice. A soft lullaby humming nearby. He tried to move, but his body wouldn’t respond properly.
Panic flooded his mind—until the memories came rushing back.
He had died. Yet here he was. A newborn in a peaceful village. The world outside wasn’t burning. There were no war horns, no flying beasts, no magical annihilation.
It was a different era.
It was… before.
Before the war.
Before everything shattered.
And then it hit him—he had been reincarnated, decades before the rise of the Sorceress. Before the bloodshed. Before she murdered his family.
The gods had given him a second chance.
And he would use it to end her before she rose to power.
Years passed.
Kyren—now reborn as "Kael"—trained in silence. While others played in the fields, he studied forbidden magic, secretly building his strength. He knew the history. He knew what Serenah would become.
But one thing puzzled him.
When she was finally born in the northern regions, she wasn’t a monster.
She was a quiet, fragile girl. Orphaned. Bullied. Feared because of her unusual silver eyes.
Kael, unable to contain his curiosity, approached her one day in the forest.
“You shouldn’t cry alone,” he said.
She turned, startled. “Why do you care?”
“I’ve been alone too,” he replied.
Something changed that day. They met again. And again. She smiled more. Laughed more. Opened up.
Serenah was nothing like the cruel sorceress he remembered. In fact, she was the kindest soul he’d ever known.
So… what had changed her?
At 17, Kael uncovered the truth: Serenah didn’t choose darkness. She was forced into it.
The kingdom’s mages, afraid of her immense power, tried to execute her during a secret purge.
That was the moment in the original timeline when she snapped—turning against humanity.
This time, Kael was ready.
He interrupted the purge, saving her life at the cost of exposing his own magic. Now both were fugitives.
They fled. Hunted by kingdoms and cults. Bound by survival—and something deeper.
Hatred was no longer in his heart.
It was love.
But time was fragile.
History had a way of correcting itself.
On a snowy night, Serenah stood beside Kael, blood dripping from her palm after defending them both from bounty hunters.
Tears streamed down her face.
“I don’t want to become the monster they say I will,” she whispered. “But every time I fight back, I feel something… snapping inside.”
Kael cupped her face, his voice steady. “You won’t. Not this time. I’m here now.”
She leaned into him.
“I don’t want to lose you.”
“You won’t,” he promised.
But destiny, it seems, is not easily rewritten.
In the shadows, a cloaked figure watched them—his former self from the old timeline, summoned back by the gods to ensure Serenah's fall.
Kael would now face the ultimate paradox:
To protect her, he would have to defeat himself.
And this time, he wasn’t sure if love was strong enough.
