"QUEEN of TEARS" Reviews

The Unexpected Heiress

Ah, I have watched the "Queen of Tears" series at least 3 times and I get hooked to it every time I watch it. I always feel like just watching. This series is the best in the whole world to watch. I don't feel like taking my eyes off from HONG HAE IN and BEAK HYUN WOO, I just keep looking at them all my life. THIS IS A SERIES WORTH WATCHING!

"Queen of Tears" successfully delivers the title as we all were in tears while watching each episode. This show had taken me on a emotional rollercoaster, with each passing episodes, from feeling heartbroken.

"Queen of Tears" is a charmingly offbeat romantic drama that successfully combines the emotional depth of traditional Korean melodramas with a refreshing, quirky sense of humor. The series stands out in a crowded genre by delivering a story that's both heartwarming and hilariously unpredictable, all while maintaining a unique tonal balance that keeps viewers engaged.

Kim Soo Hyun is actually a brilliant actor. His performance as Beak Hyun Woo in this drama was remarkable, showcasing his versatility as an actor . I could clearly see why he is the highest paid actor in Korea. He effortlessly embodies his character, evoking laughter, tears, and genuine empathy from viewers. He could make you laugh, cry and fall in love with him in an instant. Kim Ji Won is a versatile actor and as Hong Hae In, this role suited her beautifully as well and she was perfect for it. She shines in her role, demonstrating her versatility as an actor and bringing a beautiful authenticity to her character.

One of my favorites aside from the lead couple is Aunt Beomja. She is so transparent and a good judge of character. The directors did an excellent job in choosing you guys. Also, round applause to the casting director for casting the perfect person for each role, huge respect to the directors and all the BTS staff members for putting so much effort in making such a wonderful drama.

The main characters, a charismatic yet slightly awkward lead and a feisty female counterpart, have this incredible chemistry that makes every scene they share utterly captivating. I mean, who doesn’t love a good enemies-to-lovers trope? The humor is spot-on too, with hilarious situations that feel relatable yet absurd at the same time, which keeps the mood light even when the plot takes a few emotional turns like whenever they cry, I cry with them and when they laugh, I also laugh with them.

The drama's OST is another standout feature, perfectly complementing the emotional highs and lows of each episode. From haunting ballads to upbeat tracks, the music adds an extra layer of depth to the storytelling, further immersing viewers in the world of "Queen of Tears." Indeed OST is so popular because of the roller coaster feelings you will felt in every episodes but mostly because of the cast of it.

Plus, the cinematography is absolutely stunning—each scene feels like a postcard from Korea, and the fashion is to die for! I’ve found myself immersed in their world, rooting for the characters as they navigate through family drama, career challenges, and of course, their blooming romance.

I would watch this Korean drama over and over again as I might never get tired of it. The chemistry in loving, misunderstanding, fighting and even waiting for each other, between the main cast has been the cherry on top, serving every emotion we needed.

Now, I have completed the series and I am over the moon. It was so beautiful. A story of love, family, reconciliation, friendship, character, sacrifice, perseverance, patience, selflessness, humility and so much more. Sure gonna miss them as my weekend will never be the same without them.

If you’re looking for something that combines charm, wit, and a touch of heart, "Queen of Tears" is definitely worth adding to your watchlist! Just remember to have some snacks handy because you won't want to take your eyes off the screen!

I’ve not seen this show. I once bought a k-pop body pillow for someone once but then it got lost in the mail somehow. Anyway, I hope the body pillow landed in some great home somewhere in the world. lol 😝

This series was a roller coaster! I loved it, "HONG HAE IN" is the prettiest girl I've seen in K-pop! And whenever she said; "BEAK HYUN WOO"-- Half of my heart skipped a beat every time. Still, I cried the most when after her surgery she didn't recognize BEAK HYUN WOO; broke my heart. I actually watched it a month ago. It was sooo good... Your review's worth it ✨❤
