Pulp Fiction meet...Inherent Vice & FLiLV
Where narrative meets its characters

When Pulp Fiction took the world by storm, we were all enamoured with its twisted tales, it’s Legendary cast, and let’s not forget its epic soundtrack.
John Tavolta, Samuel Jackson, Uma Therman, Bruce Willis, Harvey Keitel, Amanda Plummer, Steve Buchemi, Quentin Tarantino, (the Director) among dozens of other big ticket players makes Pulp Fiction an all time classic.
We all fell in love with this new template for entertainment. It was multi dimensional and epically entrancing at every turn.
Its Creator (Quentin Tarantino) a ringer on the Hollywood scene at the time, weaving the stories together from all parts, helping us to see the story from above, assisting us in knowing that every story has its origins, outcomes and ultimate connections whether they are obvious or not.
Tarantino nailed this escapade into new dynamics of film that stand today and any movie with his name on it will inevitably get my attention.
The Story unexpectedly ends up as a happily ever after which is itself a dichotomy from the overtly violent and tragic plot line.
This Movie is one of the classics, an all time favourite for many, and if you feel the same then you have got to check out....

This Murder mystery meets up with a grizzly and unpolished virtuoso headed up by Phoenixs “Doc”
Joaquin Phoenix has always been a favourite of mine, so when Inherent Vice was released I was all over it.
Showing up to join his antics, Josh Brolin, Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Benecio Del Toro, Martin Short, Jena Malone, Katherine Waterston, and Maya Rudolph are all perfectly cast in their roles, and seamless in their contributions to Docs investigations.
Funny, Intelligent, somewhat jaded with a flexible morality, while still ethical “Doc” grabs your attention from moment one. Instilling a likeable curiosity in this viewer.
I was very invested in his successes, having a soft spot for, and a lifetime of rooting for(and being) the underdog.
The risqué themes and hilarity of this movie had me laughing out loud and often cringing at the same time.
Buckle your seatbelts when the plot starts to thicken, there is blatant sex, drugs, and rock’n’roll is this roiling and tumultuous story of betrayal and intrigue, met with spoof that begs to be overlooked and, frankly is answered.
If you are tired of the same old thing, these TWO MOVIES, definitely fit the bill!!
And for a final suggestion, for groan worthy and unabashed debauchery, why not have a movie night throwdown and add the Hunter S. Thompson inspired movie featuring Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro,
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
After a night with these characters and their stories being locked up tight at home might seem preferable!
Whatever you gotta do to get through these times, with your sanity intact, be it writing stories to promote your next entertainment endeavours, or binge watching whatever grabs your fancy, If you are tired or being stuck at home, and wish you could go out and party, watch
- Pulp Fiction
- Inherent Vice
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
These three films in succession and it might help just a tiny bit✨💜✨
A great Movie night compilation, buttered popcorn and beer worthy entertainment while we push through the last bit of one of the toughest years we have all faced.
Stay safe, stay smart and live vicariously though this crew of miscreants and their adventures.
I hope you liked my If This, Then that challenge entry, please leave a like and grab yourself a six of Dos Equis and have a laugh at the expense of these debaucherous individuals.
