Pataal Lok Season 2 Ending Explained

So well, finally, Pataal Lok Season 2 has been released, and I have also watched the show completely, but many audiences found the second season as confusing as the first season.

And yes this show indeed demands a lot of focus. The creators and events of this show are quite complicated.

But don't worry, just stay with me till the end. I guarantee that you will understand this entire series well.

Now, before talking about the ending of this show, I will have to tell you its story in brief; otherwise, you will not understand.

So Season 2 begins in Nagaland House in Delhi where a beheaded body is found in a room. On the other side, a woman comes to Hathiram Chaudhary to file a report for her missing husband Raghu Paswan.

Ansari has become an IPS officer.

The news comes on TV that Jonathan Thom, founder of Nagaland Democratic Forum, has been murdered, and due to this, there is a lot of commotion in Nagaland, and now the people there are strongly opposing this business summit. Ansari has been given this case to read.

On the other hand, our Hathiram is busy searching for Raghu. Hathiram finds tickets for Dimapur Nagaland in Raghu's luggage.

Ansari meets a waiter and asks for the details of the night of Thom's murder and while checking the CCTV footage, he suspects a girl named Rose.

After this, Thom's security officer, Daniel, meets the police, who are in the room with a girl that night.

Meanwhile, Raghu's wife has died in an accident.

On checking the CCTV footage of the railway station Raghu is found and there was a girl with him who was none other than Rose Lizo i.e. Ansari and Hathiram were working on different cases and they are connected.

Seeing this Ansari takes Hathiram on board with him.

The owner of the club where Rose used to work is Dhruv Malik.

Reuben Thom, who is Jonathan Thom's son, is running a political party against his father.

Uncle Ken and Kapil Reddy are some names that you need to keep in mind to understand the ending.

Through the news, everyone comes to know that Jonathan Thom's prime suspect is Rose Lizo, and in connection with this case, Hathiram and Ansari go to Nagaland.

While searching for Rose, Ansari is shot by a sniper and at the moment Ansari dies.

Hathiram Chaudhary's main focus now is on Ansari's shooter. Hathiram had to find out who killed Ansari.

After this, Reuben is blamed for Ansari's death.

Hathiram meets Reuben and asks him who killed Ansari, but Reuben does not know this. Reuben tells him that Kapil Reddy used to convert Thom's drug money from black to white through his hotel business.

And now Hathiram also tells Reuben some details which Reuben probably did not know. He tells him that Rose was not Thom's mistress but his illegitimate daughter and Thom was physically involved with his own daughter.

This truth was known to Rachel, i.e. Reuben's sister, due to which she committed suicide.

Now while both of them were talking to each other, the same Ansari shooter killed Reuben as well.

Reddy, sitting in Delhi, gets to know about Reuben's death, and he also informs his wife, Grace, about this news. He also tells his wife not to tell this news to Reuben's mother because this will have a huge impact on the business summit or hotel deals.

But now since Reuben's mother was a very good friend of Grace, Grace tells her everything about Reuben's death.

Uncle Ken hears all the things Reddy said to his wife in the washroom - don't tell his mother about Ruben's death etc.

Now ACP Virk calls Hathiram and tells him that a few years ago, narcotics had made a file against Reddy, but it was made to disappear, and the names of many big people were also included in it.

Reddy is the same person who gave the news of Thom's drug dealer Max to SP Meghna of Nagaland, after which the SP also confiscated Thom's goods worth 60 crores.

After all this, SP Meghna tells Hathiram that the sniper who killed Ansari and Reuben had registered the car in the name of Kohima Tours and Travels.

And here Hathiram understood that his driver in Nagaland, Bittu, was the one who was giving minute-to-minute information to the sniper.

Hathiram beats up Bittu a lot, and then Bittu says that the sniper is none other than Thom's security officer, Daniel.

After this, Delhi's ACP Virk arrests Daniel's girlfriend, and on questioning her, she tells him that Daniel got a call from someone that night, and then he left the room.

Daniel is from a kind of place called Lungchu where people are very loyal to their owner. This is the same Baptist Orphanage where three people made a video and took the responsibility of killing Thom.

After a little more investigation, it is revealed that Uncle Ken was running that orphanage. Hathiram calls Meghna and tells her all this, but Daniel has already caught Meghna when she was investigating at her house, and as soon as he finishes talking to Hathiram, Daniel kills Meghna.

Naga Summit in Delhi is successful and Nagaland gets an investment of 200 crores.

Hathiram goes to the place mentioned by Meghna and meets Daniel there. Both of them fight for a long time, but after that, Hathiram Chaudhary kills Daniel.

Now Hathiram goes to Ken and tells him the story of the night of the murder. He says that the call that Thom received at the hotel that night was from his drug dealer Max and the raid that happened at his place was done by Reddy.

Thom understands that by doing all this, Reddy wants to convince him to a meeting, but Thom goes to Ken's room and clearly refuses to have the meeting.

After which, Ken goes to Thom's room and slits his throat, and then he asks Daniel to do all the further work.

Then after all this, Ken gets a video made by three people from his orphanage in which they were taking responsibility for killing Thom.

And then Ken gets those three people killed as well by Daniel.

Ken does all this so that it looks like a political murder, and all the blame goes on Reuben, but in the end, Ken gets Reuben killed as well, and he does this so that Summit succeeds and becomes a god for the people of Nagaland.

Hathiram is about to reveal the whole truth to the public but seeing the happiness of the people, he does not do so and leaves for the airport.

On the way, Hathiram comes to know that Rose died in the hospital.

But still, one person is missing from this whole scene, and that is Raghu.

When Hathiram comes home, Raghu's grandparents come to take his son Guddu.

The next day Hathiram comes to the police station, and on checking the CCTV footage of Dhruv Malik, he finds Raghu's friend Kishore's auto, which was also parked outside Hathiram Chaudhary Ji's house the previous night when Raghu's grandparents had come to pick up his son Guddu including Kishore.

After this Hathiram catches Kishore and his companions.

Kishore says that on the night of Thom's murder, Raghu had taken his auto and was going to give ten thousand rupees to Kishore in exchange for his auto, but when Raghu came back, he did not have the money, so Kishore and his friends killed him, in a drunken state.

Here we also come to know that Raghu was just helping Rose. ACP Virk comes there and Hathiram tells him the whole matter.

ACP also asks Hathiram about those two crore rupees and where did they go. Nobody knows this whole story.

Hathiram also talks to the ACP about leaving his job; then the ACP asks if he would like to eat kulfi; he orders kulfi and gives a torn note of Rs. 100 to the kulfi seller, who refuses to take the note, then the ACP replies, I am giving you the money; that is enough, then Hathiram remembers something on seeing the torn note, and he runs and takes out the torn note from Thom's wallet.

Now Hathiram Chaudhary takes that torn 500 rupee note and goes to the hawala where his brother-in-law had brought him once before to get him a job worth 1 lakh rupees.

So Hathiram says there that he wants to know where this note was issued and reaches the location.

Then, taking five lakhs from those two crores, which were Raghu's share, Hathiram Chaudhary goes to the station and gives it to Raghu's son.

Pataal Lok Season 2 ends here, and this season, too, was a complete story like the last season; the makers did not leave any cliffhangers in it.

And where nowadays, every TV show or movie ends with a cliffhanger so that the makers can bring out the next part; the exact opposite has happened in Pataal Lok, and every story has got a perfect ending.

However, some lost points or stories still remain, like why Kapil Reddy was selling his hotel and going to Europe, and if he had to go, then why was he trying to make the summit successful?

My theory in this is that:

The government had come to know about Reddy's black deeds and his name was also removed from the narcotics department because that order must have come from the top, so there was someone who wanted to make the summit successful, and this was no one else but the government itself.

The proof of this is given by the ACP in the end when he tells Chaudhary that they are all pawns in the game because the game is being played from above.

And one thing that Hathiram said in the end is that he wants to quit the police job.

This points towards two things. This was the last season of Pataal Lok.

But this is probably not possible. Otherwise, it could also be that Hathiram Chaudhary was fed up with his job.

I think Hathiram Chaudhary will not quit his job and will solve another great case in Pataal Lok Season 3.
