My Thoughts About 'Superman' 2025
Plus, my favorite actor who portrayed the Man of Steel the best might surprise you

WARNING! If you haven't seen the movie yet, please don't proceed with reading the remainder of the story.
It's been a while since a Superman movie was released in theaters. While it was disappointing that Henry Cavill wasn't going to return as the Man of Steel, the 2025 movie had high expectations. It was one of the most anticipated movies of the year and everyone was looking forward to seeing it. Since being fired from Disney for past inappropriate tweets, James Gunn had a lot of pressure on him for Superman to perform well at the box office.
Recently, I saw the movie and honestly, this was one of the best Superman movies I've seen to date. From the actors to special effects, everything about it was on point. Nicholas Hoult, who portrayed Superman's nemesis Lex Luthor, was the perfect choice. I'm not familiar with his work, but he played the role very well. Also, David Corenswet as Superman did an excellent job portraying one of the best iconic characters in the DC Universe. I also loved the suit and every detail of it. Whenever a superhero movie is released in theaters, I usually dress up for the occasion. However, since I'm now retired from cosplay, I wore a Superman shirt instead. I did try on a Superman costume I've had for years for the first time in over a year, which I posted pics of on my social media pages. It felt so good to wear the cape one last time. Ok. Back to my thoughts about the movie. One of the other characters I liked was Krypto the Dog. Especially when he attacked Lex Luthor repeatedly and it was hilarious. The most surprising scene that I didn't expect to see was Supergirl and is greeted by Krypto. Would we see a Supergirl movie in the future? Only time will tell.
I give James Gunn high praise for producing such a spectacular movie. Hopefully, the positive turnout would be a positive sign for upcoming DC movies. For the last several years, DC movies weren't doing well at the box office. Dean Cain, who portrayed Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in the 90s, recently voiced his complaints, described the new Superman movie as "too woke". In other words, too oppressive. Conservatives love to find problems and complain about the smallest things appearing or mentioned in movies and TV shows without providing any examples. Even if they did point out those examples, it's not that deep and they need to get over themselves. It's like they can't enjoy a movie or TV show without complaining. As I've stated in previous stories, it's not a good idea to search for problems that aren't there. I had him on the list of the best actors who portrayed Superman in movies and TV shows. However, he's no longer on my list, because he seems like the kind of actor who loves to hear himself talk. Who's checking for him in 2025 anyway?
So, who is my favorite Superman actor of all time. I'll have to go with the late, great Christopher Reeve. To me, he'll aways be the actor who portrayed the iconic character the best. I'm looking forward to an announcement of another Superman movie soon.
I leave the following questions to everyone: What was your favorite part in Superman? Who is your favorite actor/actors who portrayed the Man of Steel the best?
