Logan Trailer Has The Soul Of A Western And Promises An Emotional Sendoff
This is how the trailer begins for Wolverine's final enactment as an older, worn out mutant.

Patrick: Logan, what did you do?Logan: Charles, the world is not the same as it was. The Mutants, they're gone now.
This is how the trailer begins for Wolverine's final enactment as an older, worn out mutant who is not in the pink of his health, who is losing his healing factor day by day, who weakens further by drinking a lot to calm his pain. Mutant births have reduced drastically and mutant kids are being lab-made.
The rumor that the Wolverine is taking care of Professor X is true. Montages of a small settlement in a dusty town, a forest and then we find Logan tippling after a visit to the cemetery. As shown in the previous Wolverine adaptations, Logan finds himself settled in a remote location waiting for trouble to find him, though he doesn't want any. Then, we move into interior sets where Logan mentally soliloquies as he looks at his scalped, scarred appearance on a mirror.

At this point one of the finest elements of the trailer starts off, the excellent background song by Johnny Cash which perfectly fits the color scheme and treatment of the trailer. One day, a visitor arrives.
Logan: Who is she?Patrick: She's like you. (pause) Very much like you.
Laura Kinney aka X-23 (played by Sienna Novikov) is taken under his wing after much persuasion I suppose. She is the female clone of Wolverine created by Dr. Zander Rice under Project Transigen.
A little change in attire and look for Logan. He changes from rugged hair and leather casuals to a salt & pepper beard and a nice coat (still rugged though.)

A half masked Caliban (played by Stephen Merchant) looks from a distance like a scarecrow at the emerging dust and smoke unfurled by an army of jeeps of masked Reavers directed towards Logan.
The action begins as the guitar riff is plucked for the first time. Helicopters, jumping from high-rises, Patrick's Alzheimer takes over, Laura gets hurt and Donald Pierce removes his sunglasses.

Donald Pierce (played by Boyd Holbrook) is more or less like a bounty hunter employed by interested parties to retrieve X-23. The action you can except in the final movie will be more practical and less CGI which is a good thing. Basically this Donald Pierce guy wrecks the long planned countryside family vacation planned by Logan, Little Laurie and Uncle Patrick. All they wanted to do was to drive along the scenic orange county in a custom made adamantium RV.
Anyway, every man has a point of return. When Laurie is kidnapped, Logan quits dawdling, wakes up from retirement, shows off his claws and starts shredding human flesh.
The trailer ends as little Laurie holds Logan's hands and as Patrick's voice fades out, "Logan, you still have time."

Set in the future of 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan's healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier's Alzheimer's forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.
If you think about it, Logan could do well as 'The Last of Us' movie, minus the zombies.
Logan will probably release on March 3, 2017 to the amazin' music of the Cliff Martinez. That's also the day when we find out if X-23 turns into a killing machine and goes into berserk mode.
