Luke Cage on Netflix: Cast & Character Details Confirmed By Marvel
Earlier this year, Marvel fans rejoiced as the front runner for the Netflix series, Daredevil, blew us all away and quickly became a favorite in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (with a second season being announced shortly after its release). Marvel has set a high bar for our expectations of this Marvel/Netflix partnership and we are only looking forward to the second series, Jessica Jones, arriving on November 20th and the third, Luke Cage, which is currently in production. Luke Cage will be played by Mike Colter, making his first appearance in Jessica Jones, bringing his character into play before his series own series. Marvel has also recently confirmed Mahershala Ali will play Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes and Alfre Woodard his cousin Mariah Dillard. Along with Rosario Dawson reprising her role as Claire Temple from the Daredevil series, they join Simone Missick playing Misty Knight, Frank Whaley has been cast as Rafael Scarfe, and Theo Rossi as Shades a.k.a. Alvarez, who is Cage's nemesis.

What If the Walking Dead Had Killed...
The centrepiece of AMC's impressive back-catalogue is undoubtedly zombie romp The Walking Dead. Now in its fifth year, the show regularly attracts viewing figures of over 10 million, flourishing in the 18-49 viewership. What keeps us hooked is all the drama of your standardised serial, following the lives of your average American Joe in a zombie apocalypse - you have the ex-cop, the tough guy, the abused housewife (more on her later), and a more diverse cast than Heroes.

Hannibal (2001) Turns 15 - How It Was Supposed To End
In 1991 the world of cinema was gifted Silence of the Lambs - a silver screen adaptation of the 1988 Thomas Harris Novel. Ten years later on 9 February 2001 'Fannibals' picked up their knives and forks ready to devour the sequel Hannibal. Now 15 years on we examine why Silence was entered into the National Film Registry whilst Hannibal is a maligned and often forgotten gem. Harris's novels have brought to us one of the world's most formidable villains, so how did Hannibal's translation slip so unfavourably from its pages? Whilst easily one of my favourite films of all time, Hannibal (2001) is flawed and here is one particular reason why... a VERY different ending that is just a little too hard to swallow.

The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy... Ranking the Movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
With Marvel's Phase 2 ending this summer with Ant-Man, it seemed appropriate to add my 2-cents to this ongoing conversation. Everyone is going to have their opinions and rankings when it comes to the movies in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. In fact, many of you have posted your very own version of this article. But this is going to be a little different. Friend and fellow Movie Pilot contributor, Derrick Weston and I have a plan to put our own respective rankings out and, much like the Fantasy Team Contest, compare our rankings and then let you participate in the conversation as well. So, be on the look out for all that.

Original 'Death Note' Creators Reportedly Loved the Netflix Adaptation
The American adaptation of Death Note has long been the object of much public ire. Since its announcement in 2009, and Nat Wolff’s controversial casting as Light in 2015, the project has been plagued with numerous production problems — constantly changing directors, the persistent whitewashing of otherwise Asian roles, the massive delays (in production and casting), and every astronomical revision made to the characters and the plot. With only a few weeks left until release, the film seems doomed for critical and box office failure.
