What It Was Like To Sit With Nintendo And Why It's A Great Time To Be A Creator
When I was invited by Moviepilot to attend a press event for Nintendo, I had a small idea of what it was going to be like. In my head, I thought we were going to be in a medium-sized room with a few Wii U systems set up and a couple of Nintendo 3DS to play around with while we bark questions at Nintendo employees. What happened instead was something that threw me for a loop and it reminded me why it's such an awesome time to be a Creator and it all started with, just like the Marvel event I was invited to, becoming hopelessly lost. Also parking was a nightmare, but that's just L.A. being L.A.

Cosplayer Puts Houston Comicpalooza On Blast For False Promises
Cons are incredibly fun places to be. You get to be around like-minded people and let your nerdiness go on full tilt. Also, there's a mass of things to spend money on (I'm not saying I dropped hundreds of dollars on manga during AX but I'm not saying that I didn't). A lot of planning and coordination goes into something like a convention. There's a lot of front-end work for setting up but there's also a lot of back-end work once the con is over. According to cosplayer Teresa Rollo Nguyen aka Tall Princess, this is where Houston based con Comicpalooza dropped the ball. According to an open letter she wrote to the Con, she's been back and forth with the event organizers over a contest she won that they have failed to make good on.

A YouTuber Re-Makes An Iconic Weapon, Tests It On The Public and the Results Are Hilarious
A YouTube channel going by the name of Sufficiently Advanced claims that he makes pretend things into real things. He really followed up on that claim by remaking Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, and then taking it out to Venice Beach to see if anyone was worthy of lifting Thor's hammer. The results were pretty funny as people struggled to lift the thing.

5 Disney Stars Who Moved On to the CW
With Aly Machalka returning to TV in The CW's new show, iZombie, I can't help but realize that many of the stars of my youth have turned to older and darker roles, which I suppose is quite fitting as those are the shows that I am watching now myself. So, here's a look at a few of the young stars that the CW procured from the good old mouse ears:

'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' is the Mashup I Didn't Know I Wanted
I've watched my fair share of period dramas here and there. It was mostly to substitute for reading the actual book (which doesn't work that well, by the way) and to save time in general. In all that time I never once thought to myself, "you know what would make this movie pop? Zombies. Just a bunch of zombies in period dress going for the gold." Well, as it turns out someone did think of it because the trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was released earlier this week. Check it out below.

The Big Bang Theory's Mystery Prop Identified!
Fans of The Big Bang Theory may have noticed all the different props and items located throughout Sheldon and Leonard's apartment. There’s a War of the Worlds poster on the wall, a Rubik’s cube tissue box on the table, a three dimensional chess board, and of course there is multiple superhero action figures dotted across the entire apartment. It’s like a game of "Where’s Wally". (For the Americans, it's "Where's Waldo"). But have you seen this one particular prop that a very few of us noticed to start with?

Look Fresh to Death with These Ghostbusters Themed Kicks
Did you know that the nostalgia-hungry crowd is a pretty good market sector to target if you know what you're doing? Probably because you've mAore than likely bought something for the sake of nostalgia and also because it was just a damn cool thing to have. Shoemaker Josh Pell of Nookiee (not to be confused with the designer clothing and swimwear website Nookie) is banking on that market with these pretty amazing shoes. All of his shoes are handmade and, like it says on the title, fresh to death as they recreate the styles of yesteryear.
