'Ash Princess'
"I will not anger the Kaiser and he will keep me alive." Imagine if the greatest thing you could do with your life is to survive, to live. Imagine if in order to do that you had to hide your true self and take on the identity and persona forced upon you. For 6-year-old Princess Theodosia of the island nation Astrea, this is what she must do. At age 6, a warrior race known as the Kalovaxians have invaded her home, killed her mother, the fire queen, and forced young Theodosia to take on the name of Lady Thora, the Ash Princess.

Middle School Vibes for Bo Burnham's Directorial Debut 'Eighth Grade'
It was very hot in the Middle School auditorium. Someone's dinner farts were wafting in the air. The seats were uncomfortable and stiff. A group of people had already moved because a few seats had a mystery substance on them. The next group didn’t seem to mind.

'The Princess Diaries'
In honor of The Princess Diaries gracing us with its presence on Netflix this month, I thought it would be a good time to reflect upon what made this movie so incredible in the first place. Things like its vivid characters, strong actors, and original soundtrack make this movie so much more than just memorable.

How 'A Clockwork Orange' Changed The Form of Cinema
Creator First and foremost, I will mention who the masterful director that created this masterpiece is. Stanley Kubrick, a Boston man who made other creative and cinematic masters such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining and many many more was the father of such a trip fest. It's important you know this, as it is a very similar theme among his films, the violence, unique structure and such creatively stunning and interesting storytelling.

Upcoming Indie Films You Definitely Need To See
The Miseducation Of Cameron Post (FilmRise, August 2018 (US), September 2018 (UK)) The Miseducation of Cameron Post is a drama based off the 2012 novel of the same title by Emily M. Danforth. Kick-Ass and Carrie's Chloë Grace Moretz stars as Cameron, a teenager who is discovering and exploring her homosexuality in a conservative town that doesn't understand. The plot of the movie will stir a sense of deja-vu if you're a fan of the 1999 hit But I'm A Cheerleader; after being found with the Prom Queen the main character gets shipped off to participate in Christian conversion therapy and befriends others who are also being told their sexuality is a sin. This is an indie that is set to be a hit and has received praise from Sundance for its wry sense of humour and criticism of gay conversion therapy. It hits the big screens in the US on 3rd August and premieres in the UK on 7th September.

What are some things you can tell me about yourself? Well, I love good food and long romantic boat rides! Just kidding! (Actually go ahead and add that!). I'm a huge nerd and an avid gamer. I'm also a proud parent of a demon toddler (kidding!), a practiced martial artist of almost 20 years, and a die hard wrestling fan! Oh, and I guess I should also say I'm a happily devoted husband.

Top 20: Mirror Mirror
Mirror Mirror is a reinvention of the snow white tale that shows snow white as an escapee of her evil stepmother’s clutches and joining the seven dwarves. The reinvention and expansion of the tale is one of the most appealing features, it’s endlessly detailed, giving agency humour and skill to every major character.
