Before the opioid crisis of the mid to late 2010s, there existed the crack wars of the mid to late 1980s and early 1990s. To capture properly the scenes of despair, familial fractures, and the human toll that the drug game has wreaked on America, moviemakers and television crews seek to depict the addict. Now, a metaphor for liking something to the extreme or unable to shake from an activity, the crackhead, has become a staple in films and shows regarding the proliferation of narcotics. They are among the most affected persons involved in the manufacture, production, sale, and consumption of illicit drugs, currently. Their usage of the substances makes them prime territory for screenwriters, producers, and directors to show the comic, desperate, and devastating effects of the drug trade. As prohibition of such substances remains in effect in the United States and most regions of the world, the problem persists. And as the crack crisis has dissipated, the focus now is trained on prescription pill overdoses and heroin (again). Top R-Rated Superhero Movies
Movies based superhero comic book character began to appear in movie theaters as early as 1939 when Mandrake the Magician opened in theaters. Serials soon followed featuring Captain Marvel, Batman, The Phantom, Captain America and Superman franchises.Today, Marvel superhero movies and TV shows based on DC comics are more popular than ever, but some complain that they are a little too tame for some movie audiences. 16 and Pregnant was a revolutionary show for MTV back in 2009 that has led to multiple spin-off shows for the network. It was arguably the first American show to take an in-depth look at the struggles of becoming a mother at such a young age. Each season dedicated an hour to a different girl and gave them a chance to reflect on their struggle at the end of each episode.

Road to the X-Men/Inhuman War (Part 1)
In this post, we are going to be going over the first issue of Death of X by Jeff Lemire and Charles Soule, which is awesome because I love both of their writing. Death of X is a four-issue mini-series that leads up to the crossover event called Inhumans vs. X-Men where Mutants and Inhumans go to war with each other. After DoX and IvX, we go into X-Men Prime and Inhumans Prime, which re-shapes the Inhuman/X-Men status quo in the Marvel Universe.

Cosplayer Interview: Byakuya Shinriku
In the world of cosplay, us cosplayers attend conventions every year and meet people. We get to know more about them and eventually form friendships. In the four years I've been a cosplayer, having that bond with some of the most amazing friends has been remarkable. Cosplay brings people together and allows us to freely express ourselves. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing yet another Power Rangers Facebook group admin. His name is Byakuya Shinriku and I'm proud to call him a friend and also, like a brother to me. It was great to know so much about him and I hope everyone enjoys this interview.
