Khalbali Records Review

After a long time, I saw a series that is related to music, you must have seen many songs in films or series but you will rarely find content related to songs or showing the internal dramatics of the same industry, so the name of the series is Khalbali Records which you can watch on JioCinema Premium and it is not just based musically but also on the rap battle going on in the market these days or maybe this is the first series made on rap music.

So I have seen it and now let's talk about this series.

Well, the series has 8 episodes all of which are almost 35 to 40 minutes long which makes this series very crisp due to which it doesn't take much time to reach its point.

The story is about a boy named Raghav whose father is played by Ram Kapoor. He has a big music industry named Galaxy Records which many artists want to join to make a name for themselves and one thing I would like to mention is that Ram Kapoor has carried himself very well in a negative shade.

Now Ram Kapoor's company has an artist named Mauj who is killed in front of the public during a concert and Mauj's very close friend is Raghav who wants to fulfill Mauj's dream after his death by opening Khalbali Records which of course will be a musical company like Galaxy Records i.e. Galaxy Records' rival company.

Now will Raghav be able to open Khalbali Records by going against his father and in competition with Galaxy Records even if he can open it, will he be able to run it, how will he get opposition from his father, his family, other artists and competitors, KhalBali Records is a blend of all this.

Well let me tell you that along with the story, very good indie music has also been blended in the series or you can say that Khalbali Records wants to take rap music forward authentically in this series and mind its music works as the main attraction in the whole story like its a usp of this series

So don't make the mistake of considering it a normal musical drama because it has rap music as well and if you have a taste for indie music then you are going to enjoy this series a lot and if you don't have much to do with music and you like to watch story oriented series then also you won't be disappointed

Yes, another thing is that you will get to see many big names from the music industry in small cameos like Anu Malik, Rekha Bhardwaj, Amit Trivedi, Neeti Mohan, Shahid Mallya, Amijeet Sawant, Nikita Gandhi, and many more.

There are almost 30 to 35 cameos in it. You will be able to see all the people and artists from the music industry in it. Along with this, you will also get to see a good role of Punjabi rapper Parbhadeep in this series.

Now, since this is a fight between rap music vs commercial music labels, the music in it is amazing. It has been composed by Amit Trivedi and he is one of my favourite composers and music directors.

Conclusion

Overall, this is one of the biggest musical series of the year, with a huge star cast. It’s packed with entertainment in terms of acting, story, performances, and especially music. Khalbali Records has emotions, and some action, and shows the relationships between a father, son, and friends.

There are a few swear words, especially in the rap sections, which might make it uncomfortable to watch with family.
