Kelly Thiebaud is recovering from COVID
The actress is the third General Hospital cast member to deal with the virus.

Kelly Thiebaud has had a difficult year
Soaps in Depth is reporting that General Hospital actress Kelly Thiebaud is on the men as she quarantines for COVID-19. The actress who portrays Britt Westbourne on the ABC soap says she is doing good and binge-watching Game of Thrones. Kelly has had a roller coaster year but has remained in good spirits as she dealt with everything that came her way.
Thiebaud has been cyberbullied by immature fans who have criticized her hairstyle, her onscreen love interests and even compared her to castmate Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall). Viewers who were JaSam fans said ugly things to the actress on Twitter but she stood up to them and did not back down. When she wore bangs during the period in 2020 when hair and make-up artists were not being utilized some viewers disapproved of the look and told her so.
When Kelly mentioned jokingly being interested in becoming a PI one hateful fan said that Thiebaud would never be like Monaco whose character has been a private eye for a living. In 2021 the actress had two COVID tests and one came back negative while the other was positive. She had no choice but to quarantine and now she actually has the coronavirus.
General Hospital cut Brason down before they got started
There naturally was some resistance to Britt being involved with Sam's ex husband because JaSam was a popular couple with the fans. When Thiebaud's character went on the run with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) support for the duo increased and many fans cheered them on and were expecting them to be the next super couple in Port Charles.
Before this could happen Morgan was let go from General Hospital (along with Ingo Rademacher) because they refused to get the COVID vaccine and sought but were denied a religious exemption. The fact that Kelly is still working on GH suggests she has had the coronavirus inoculation but it's not known if she has had the booster. Some GH fans are believing that Britt will get over Jason by dating Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) but he admitted to her earlier in the week that he is interested in Maxie and Dr. Westbourne seems happy for him.
Kelly Thiebaud is busy as Britt
Thiebaud's fans are praying for her and wishing the actress a speedy recovery. She did not give a date of when she would return to taping but her character is on the periphery of several front burner storylines. She is co-chief of staff at General Hospital and is getting along better with Austin who is plotting to take down Brooke Lynn Quartermaine. Her best friend Brad Cooper was recently released from Pentonville and his aunt mob princess Selina Woo does not want him to resume his friendship with Dr. Westbourne.
Britt's half-brother Peter August is in the hospital and she has been monitoring his progress. She is good friends with his baby mam Maxie Jones ( Kirsten Storms) who was also her sister-in-law and has been lending moral support. (Scott Baldwin) Kin Shriner has left General Hospital so Britt might need to console her mother depending on how Scottie makes his exit.
There is also the issue of her Huntington's disease which has not been talked about since she returned from Cassadine Island. it was flaring up while she was on the run with Jason but now the symptoms seem to have subsided and even her worrywart mom is no longer mentioning the illness. Be on the lookout for updates related to General Hospital and Kelly Thiebaud and what comes next for Britt.
