Is Electric State a good movie?

Finally, I have completed watching The Electric State movie and this is not any ordinary small movie, the budget of this movie is $320 million if I compare it, to the budget of Avengers End Game was around $356 million and The Electric State is a $320 million movie which if converted into Indian currency is Rs 2800 crores, so it is a very big movie.

But a few days ago there was news related to this movie that this movie has got only an 18% rating on Rotten Tomatoes which is considered very low, according to them this movie was a complete flop.

But still, I wanted to watch this movie and that too with a lot of excitement because I have more faith in Netflix than critics, I have faith in the Russo Brothers, I had faith in its trailer, I had faith in the actor Chris Pratt and there were multiple reasons too.

Finally, I have completed watching this movie which is only two hours and eight minutes long. So is this movie really that useless or is this movie a blockbuster?

Story

So we get to see the story of some other universe where everything is like this, that is, it is like this world, only robots have entered there and the technology there is a little advanced.

In this movie, you will get to hear the name of Disney and other such brands and along with that, you will also get to see the names and photos of all the presidents of America.

But nothing like this happened in reality, so this is the story of some other universe where robots, which were created by humans for their benefit so that they can make the work of humans easier, suddenly start talking about their rights, they say that we have the right to live, we are not servants of humans.

Due to this, it becomes robots vs humans and finally humans win and then all these robots are sent to a place called Electric State which is one lakh square miles, that means it is a very big place and now they have to live there.

But our main actresses Millie Bonnie Brown come to know about something due to which they will be forced to go to that place if they do not go, then they can suffer a huge loss and Star-Lord i.e. Chris Pratt and a robot with a smiley face will help them in this.

Now what will happen there, why have they gone there, what is the mystery there, you will see it in the movie, I am not going to spoil anything.

The Electric State Netflix Review

The story is not something very extraordinary, the story is as simple as I had thought or rather expected, but the movie is at least not like the bad ratings it has received, it does not deserve that rating, it deserves more than that.

If we talk about the good things in this movie then its visuals are quite good but just yesterday I saw a series, its visuals are nowhere near The Wheel Of Time, even though its budget was not that huge but its visuals were number one but its visuals are not as impressive as they should have been.

Its budget of $320 million can be understood by watching the movie and where it must have gone, first of all obviously in the fees of the actors and director, then the names of different brands like Disney, whose name they cannot take for free in their movie, so I think they must have given them some money, which would not be a very big amount, majority portion of it must have gone in the fees of the actors and production budget and it seems by looking at all those things, but it is unable to justify its budget, but 320 million is not a small amount by any means, it is a very big amount, almost 2800 crores, so this movie is unable to justify that.

I did not find the story to be very strong either, the positives in this movie are okay but the negatives are also okay, out of which the biggest negative is its story, the story could not hook me with it very much.

Initially, I was completely hooked on this movie but the biggest downfall of this movie came when it was about 55 minutes into the movie. The reason for Millie Bonnie Brown going to Electric State did not seem very strong to me and because of that, I lost interest in the movie.

Along with that, the overall concept of the movie on which this whole movie is based also did not seem very strong to me and because of that, I could not get hooked to the movie.

While watching the movie, I did not have the urgency to think about what would happen next, nothing like this happened to me in the movie.

I knew that this was the Russo brothers' movie, there were big actors and it had a big budget but even then I didn't have any expectations from this movie because I already knew what kind of ratings it had received then this movie couldn't hook me in a very good way.

But this does not mean that the movie is very bad. The movie is quite good but how much rating does it deserve after all?

If I talk about rating, then in my opinion this movie deserves 6.5 or at the most seven, more than that. I do not think this movie deserves it because the story is very simple. We have seen such stories many times before and there is a lack of urgency in the movie.

The movie may not be very long but despite that, it felt lengthy and there are no big twists and turns. So this is an average movie that you can give a try once with your family also because this is a PG13 movie.

So this was my final verdict about this movie. You can watch this movie once and this movie is available on Netflix in Hindi Language.
