While some broadcasts dissuade from giggling, sometimes it’s warranted. Once foes, Cam’ron and Mase show their kinship and agreement on President Trump’s posts regarding GRAMMY®-award-winner Bad Bunny’s halftime performance.

Trump trounced the Puerto Rican performer’s choice in waving flags, singing in Spanish, and finding his overall appearance un-American.

The two rappers turned broadcasters couldn’t contain themselves while Cam read out what Trump lambasted online. Their camaraderie only became enhanced as both of them just giggled their way through the segment, showing how far the two have reached in recent decades. The rollicking nature of their laughs on It is What it Is have gone across the globe as they take down Trump and all of his nonsense.

By displaying a bit of levity, they both have been able to dissect the implications that rappers can be friends and friendly. They could’ve just mean-mugged their way through the entire proceedings. Instead, by finding humor in the president’s posts, they sought to find some resolution among all the foulness surrounding the Super Bowl performance.

Mase even had an introspective perspective saying how in New York (where Trump is from, incidentally) he said that the Puerto Rican flag is flown all over the place and that Americans in the middle may not have understood all the other flags waving besides the banner of the United States of America.

Their jocular session stirred up belly-laughs as the two of them sat back and considered for a moment the wider scene of geo-politics. Still, Cam holds that Trump doesn’t really care about anyone, especially himself. If he did, he wouldn’t castigate the way he does people and institutions.

From all standpoints, the two of them shared a much needed laugh at the president’s expense. Their sincerity and ability to convey a message of levity only demonstrates their prowess on the mics, this time as broadcasters rather than rappers.

To go back and replay the video is a lesson in joining in on the fun once you’ve already discovered that they’re serious but just playing for the moment. Their comic timing is so precise and clear that it boggles the mind when thinking about it. Why doesn’t the show go off the rails? They prepare and analyze the past shows and then come up with original content to present themselves purposefully.

Mase and Cam gel well because of their closeness from childhood. They made it their mission to discuss topics that people from a wide demographic can understand and relate to while still focusing on that coveted 18-34 year-old urban market.

While they couldn’t contain their laughs, they know that they’re all the better because the audience chuckles along with them. Every joke and observation is curated to specify the people they’re attempting to entertain, inform, and enlighten. Cam didn’t laugh at Bad Bunny so much as he discredited the president for talking down on the megastar.

He addressed the Hispanic community by saying he wasn’t making fun of the Bunny but how Trump interpreted the performance. Hell, there were people dressed up as grass that practiced their moves for two weeks prior to the show. How could anyone hate on that?

What Cam and Mase do is special because they mainly focus on sports with bits of music and TV and film mixed into the concoction. Effortlessly, they combine all of these elements and make a flawless show. Their capabilities as broadcasters make it possible for them to cast a wide net and catch the ears and eyeballs of their audience.

Mase and Cam create within the world of silliness truths and keep the dollars rolling into their accounts.
