Is Spencer heading into something from which he cannot return

General Hospital is taking its time to build a sweet love story with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chaves) but there is something else brewing that might lead to the end of Sprina. Spencer is showing signs that he is fully embracing his father's family and is willing to do whatever it takes to get his way. Once Trina encounters his dark side she might decide enough is enough. Ms. Robinson is already showing signs of distress because Spencer is living under the same roof as the woman who framed her for revenge porn. If something does not give soon the romance could end before it even begins.

While he is polite to the men in Trina's family and seems to sincerely care for her his hatred of Esme is bringing out a side that only a few have seen. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) caught a glimpse of it when Spencer shocked his father Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) by revealing he knew Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) was locked in the Wyndemere tower. Laura did not understand the cat-and-mouse game between her son and grandson but Prince Nik knew fully in that moment that his own son had gone to the dark side.

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) believes he is grooming Spencer to be the next heir to the Cassadine fortune and some of the scenes between the two have been chilling. Although it has not been said directly Uncle Victor wants to know if his nephew really wants him to get rid of Esme for good. On Thursday Spencer let it be known that he was ready for whatever Victor had planned because he wants to raise his brother Ace without his mother anywhere in sight.

Will Trina be shocked at what may transpire next?

Spencer is seething because Esme seduced him in boarding school all on the orders of Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). His falling for her has led to every terrible thing that has taken place with Nikolas, Trina, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and Cameron Webber (Will Lipton). Spencer feels he needs to atone for the harm his loved ones have endured and he absolutely refuses to see anything good in his former girlfriend.

While Spencer is making a deal with his uncle he has no idea that Victor really did have Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) murdered and has just killed Deputy Major Eileen Ashby (heather Mazur) with his own hands. Spencer has no idea what Victor is capable of and Trina is not aware that the man she loves has a dark inheritance that is calling his name.

General Hospital fans need a lot of answers

General Hospital spoilers have not revealed any details on how this will work out so fans are left with a lot of questions. Viewers know that Victor will not hesitate to kill Esme but will Spencer really agree to this? How can he look Trina, Laura and others in the face if Esme meets a grim fate? Does he really believe he is capable of raising his brother without the child's mother? As for Victor will he actually try to kill his own son Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) or will he be stopped before he can take any more lives?

As it stands now Victor feels all-powerful but his reign of terror in Port Charles may soon be coming to an end. What will Spencer do if his uncle is apprehended or dies and what about Nikolas? Is General Hospital going to leave fans hanging again without a clue and should Nik eventually return will Spencer try to keep him from his own child? Is it within Spencer to become as ruthless as Victor or will Trina's love save him? Stay tuned to General Hospital to find out how all of this chaos works out.
