In the last episode Marie and friends attempt to escape Elmira but walk right into Cypher’s trap, Annabeth has been killed and Marie has to use her powers to heal her. So we are starting to see the full extent of Marie’s powers. I mean she is essentially a blood blender, which is like the most badass thing ever.

As they try to escape it is clear that Annabeth has some kind of superpowers going on as well. She can sense Sam before he gets there to help them escape. So Annabeth has had some encounter with compound V as well. I really hope that we flesh that out.

Now that Annabeth and Marie have reunited Marie has to deal with all of that, her sister still blames her for their parents death, and now her sister has technically died which she also blames Marie for.

Cypher finds out they escaped and is completely losing it, no one has acknowledged Annabeth’s clear powers. Marie mentions it later in the library because she can sense the blood in her sister's system. Annabeth is harboring just so much unnecessary hatred for her sister. It’s so ridiculous. She seems to be stuck in a very 6 year old mindset. It's really irritating. And it’s definitely pissing me off.

Marie is now also carrying the fact that she is one of the most powerful supes in existence. That’s a crazy amount of pressure and responsibility.

Their Thor rip off is the one that’s sent for Marie, saved by Zoey. Stan Edgar comes to help. They are doing a really good job of weaving in major players from The Boys while still letting this story be about this set of characters. I love that this spin off is helping build up the main show.

Oh I see the only other survivor of the Odyssa project is Homelander and therefore Marie is the only one that can take him down.

The story is obviously about Marie, she is the focal point of the series but the real driver of the story and most of the emotional through lines is Emma. She really is the one holding the story together. That might just be because she is my favorite and I am feeling very connected to her. But she really is the emotional core of this show for me.

The body that Cypher keeps in a tube is in fact not his dad but is most definitely Thomas Godolkin. They seem to think that the key to taking down Homelander is actually Thomas Godolkin. There’s gonna be a fucking twist here I just know it.

We finally find out Cypher’s evil plan. He believes in survival of the fittest, he only wants the strongest supes. He wants to kill 75% of the students at God U theoretically by getting the strong students to expand and master their powers. And then of course we will take this global. So the only motivation that I can think of for them wanting to take down Homelander is that Cypher wants to be the most powerful supe, which is just not possible with Homelander around.

Marie is very clearly worried for her friends and sisters safety so she leaves the safehouse in the middle of the night and she is followed by Cate who thinks Marie can help her fix her powers.

Marie can absolutely fix Cate’s powers but I don’t think she’s going to. I also don’t really think that she should, people who fuck up as bad as she did have a long road to redemption and I just don’t think she’s walked it yet.
