Devilman Crybaby
Storyline: The protagonist Akira Fudo learns from his best friend, Ryo Asuka, that an ancient race of demons has returned to take back the world from humans. Ryo tells Akira that the only way to defeat the demons is to incorporate their supernatural powers, and suggests that he unite with a demon himself. Akira succeeds in transforming into Devilman, who possesses both the powers of a demon and the soul of a human. The battle between Devilman and Akira Fudo begins.
Info: 10 episodes
Genre: Horror, Supernatural
Rated: TV-MA

I would consider this show to be horny horror. There is a lot of nudity and sex thrown in your face. I understand why some of it was important to show for the storyline, however, some of it just seemed to be in your face. Besides the sex and nudity, the storyline was crazy. I was disturbed and shocked and kept saying to myself “Just one more episode” I did binge this show in one night. For Halloween, I’d say this is a perfect binge if you don’t have a weak stomach. Not only is the storyline insane, it is psychological and very gory. Might be one of the goriest anime I have ever seen. Gore has never bothered me much but I have to say I did warn you about it.

Ratings:
My Review: This show will have you second-guessing the whole time. So many plot twists it will have your head spinning. It is a very disturbing show with an unpredictable and shocking ending. My emotions were on a huge rollercoaster. The sex and nudity in it don’t bother me however I felt as if some of it took away from the show and I found myself skipping scenes because I wanted to get back to the storyline. I would only recommend it if you have a strong stomach because it will be turning throughout the whole show. I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece like others have told me, but it is a uniquely horrifying show.

Decoding the Significance of ‘The Boy and the Heron’
What did I think of the Boy and the Herron? I was lost the whole movie! I didn’t follow a thing, and even though I was entertained I could not tell you a single thing about it after it finished. So of course I had to figure out what it was about after I watched it. I watched YouTube videos explaining the creation and story. Once I learned the depth of the storyline my mind was blown. I rewatched it once it was released to stream and it has become one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films.
One Piece Fan Letter
We follow everyday people as they stumble across the Straw Hat crew. I thought this was such a fascinating look into the lives of the non-pirates in this world. The inspiration and terror they face. We follow a young girl who has found inspiration through Nami. In a world of muscle and devil fruit powers, normal people are seen as less than. She sees how Nami can go on grand adventures without any special powers and finds courage through Nami’s bravery.
Bye for now!

I remember this show! It was super gory and disturbing. I liked the plot twists and the weirdness, but I also wouldn’t call it a masterpiece. Beautiful animation, though!
