Marvel Superheroes
Welcome to the Marvel Cinematic and Comic Universe, exploring all things superhero and villain. Excelsior!
Scarlet Witch vs. Captain Marvel
Kevin Feige called Captain Marvel “the most overpowered hero in the MCU.” Well, the only way that could possibly be the case is if he completely ignores the powers and abilities of Scarlet Witch and has no intention of introducing other heroes that would easily overpower Ms. Danvers (Vulcan, Skaar, Grandmaster, Phoenix Force I could go on and on). The unfortunate truth is that if they are going to make her as “overpowered” as he seems to think she is they would have to ignore big gaping weaknesses.

Captain Marvel
I thought that before Captain Marvel is released we should talk about her powers, and what her role in the Marvel universe is. Carol Danvers was actually Ms. Marvel and didn’t take the mantle of Captain until 2012. As Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel are both powerful characters but have some huge weaknesses, that would make her existence in the MCU a bit useless if they are going to be at all comic book accurate.

'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' Review. Top Story - January 2019.
Alright, let’s start 2019 as we mean to go on—let’s talk about movies more regularly, now! I just got back from seeing a couple of movies today and, as some of you requested, I figured I might as well start making proper reviews, now! So, for this episode, let’s talk about a film I now wish I’d got to see earlier; Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. I hadn’t heard a bad word said about this film before I saw it, so this film definitely had high expectations to fill and, for the most part, Spider-verse excelled.

10 Characters Marvel Should Introduce into the 'MCU' After 'Phase 3' Has Concluded
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a film franchise that is unrivaled as far as sheer commercial success is concerned. Earning billions in revenue worldwide the long-running set of films is reaching its climactic conclusion in the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, ending the Phase Three arc of films. We do know the films are going to continue, but how the next Phase of films will play out is unclear. We know Spider-man: Far From Home is in the works, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was planned until the James Gunn scandal. But, with the huge success being created by the films, it is highly unlikely the journey is over yet.

'Marvel's Runaways' Season Two Steps Up! A Review of the New Season and Look at What Season Three Will Bring
The first season ended on Marvel's Runaways, making the main characters fulfill their namesake and runaway from their evil parents, who form the organisation Pride. While the series is yet to premier on television, the entire series has been released online through the streaming service Hulu. The show picks right up where we left the young heroes on the run and trying to find answers to the many questions left with the team and the audience from season one. But the second season has made even bigger questions in the wake of the answers given, and now these questions have been answered.

Marvel Superheroes Who Deserve Their Own Movie Franchises
So far they've only announced sequels for Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, and possibly the Hulk. They've also hinted at doing an Inhumans film, along with another Guardians of the Galaxy film and a sequel for Doctor Strange. Not wanting to seem like I have no opinion (I do, trust me), here are some of my picks for heroes who need their own film franchises. It should be noted, these are characters I think could hold their own films, not just be guest characters, which I've written about before. Some heroes, while cool, just can't do their own solo franchises. But that's why the good Lord invented the superhero team up.

More Than the Muscle
Who doesn't find catharsis in watching power creatures exhibit their power? Comic book superheroes have illustrated how much people of all ages love to see strength exemplified. Arguably among the most popular examples is that of the Incredible, the Indestructible, the Big Mean and Big Green, Hulk. Now there's a plethora of Hulk characters. The first was so inspiring to generate a big cast of related heroes and villains. Focusing on the main Hulk, AKA Dr. Bruce Banner, it's a large simplification that he's had quite the long history.

An MCU Fan's Critique of the 'Avengers: Endgame' Trailer
We waited for what seemed like ages for this trailer. Between threats made on the producers (like... really?) and my own overactive hype, it came, it went, and it left only a few questions partially answered. That said, I want to share my thoughts on the MCU's biggest film to date. Let's delve into what will be the biggest movie of the new year—based purely on the trailer.

Review: 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'—The Best Superhero Film Yet?
I remember when it was announced that the new Spider-Man would be Miles Morales. Despite different versions of the same superhero being a norm as old as comic books themselves, there were the inevitable accusations of pandering to political correctness. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse offers a Spider-Man which feels obvious and essential to a new age of superheroes. It's always a positive for more diverse representation on screen, sure, but this film paints Miles as such a fitting successor to Peter Parker that all of the controversies seem to evaporate.
