Chhaava Ending Explained

At the end of the Chhaava movie, you must have seen that what Aurangzeb does with Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is very cruel. He pulled out Maharaj's nails, applied salt to his wounds and many other things happened.

But let me tell you that some things were missing in it and the makers might not have shown those things because they were very bad but we will know about those things now and will also explain the ending of what happened to the Maratha Empire after that.

So see, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and in 1666, Aurangzeb called Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to Agra to discuss something, but the way Aurangzeb behaved with him made Maharaj Ji angry, and he walked out.

But Aurangzeb arrested Maharaj Ji and made him captive but Maharaj Ji escaped from there by changing his getup along with his son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Ji.

After this Maharaj Ji and Marathas together attacked Mughals many times and snatched many of their areas from them. To take revenge for this, Aurangzeb tried to catch Maharaj Ji throughout his life, but he could not catch him.

Then on 3 April 1680, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj passed away. Hearing this, Aurangzeb became happy, but later, he came to know that the lion was gone, but its cub was still alive.

Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ruled from 1681 to 1689 in which he first looted Burhanpur and ruined it.

After which Aurangzeb vowed that even though he could not beat Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he would beat and kill Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and gain the Maratha Empire.

After this, Aurangzeb and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj fought many wars in which Aurangzeb had to face defeat every time, but later, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's brother-in-law betrayed him.

The thing was that Maharaj Ji was going to attack Aurangzeb by gathering all his soldiers at Sangameshwar fort through a secret route, but Maharaj Ji's brother-in-law Ganoji Shirke and Kanhoji Shirke gave all this information to Aurangzeb, taking advantage of which Aurangzeb directly attacked Sangameshwar fort.

Finally, he held Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Ji captive and tortured him a lot. He pulled out his nails, applied salt on his wounds, and burnt his eyes with hot iron rods; there was an attempt to blind him, and his tongue was also cut and urinated upon.

Even after all this, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Ji did not accept defeat and kept on saying Har Har Mahadev till his last breath but did not let Aurangzeb feel happy even for a second that he had tortured Maharaj Ji.

Then, finally, Aurangzeb chopped his body into pieces and threw them in the forest, meaning he was not even allowed a proper funeral.

After this, Aurangzeb felt that now both the lion of Marathas, i.e. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and his brave son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj were no more, so he would capture the Maratha Empire and torture them again, but when he comes to know that after Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Ji, another Chhatrapati is ready to take over the Maratha Empire, then Aurangzeb again becomes sad after hearing this.

So friends, after the death of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Ji, his wife Yesubai made Ramraje the Chhatrapati means and he took over the further battle.

After this, the Marathas together fought many wars with Aurangzeb, which means that the Marathas never accepted defeat, which means that Sher and Chhaava may have gone but their thoughts were always alive inside the Marathas.

So this was the ending explanation of the Chhaava movie. If you have any questions or answers related to the ending, then do share them in the comments.
