Beyond the Gates is renewed for another year, as the drama continues this week for Martin and Eva

Beyond the Gates fans, there is good news for your favorite daytime drama. Deadline reports that CBS has renewed the soap for another year. The action and drama have only increased since the series debuted in February, and the ratings are the proof.

Touting a 48% increase in broadcast viewership over its predecessor The Talk, and up 67% in multiplatform viewership year over year. In addition Beyond The Gates is beating its timeslot competitor ABC's General Hospital by 7% in the key demographic of women 25-54.

What's coming next in Fairmont Crest for Martin?

BTG viewers have been waiting for Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) to reveal his deep, dark secret, which may come out on Tuesday. Fans have been speculating about what is so horrific that Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) are in such fear. Martin will have some type of memory, which may give those who watch the show a clue.

Martin has been experiencing violent dreams that disrupt his sleep and have been a problem in his marriage to Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning). BTG fans hope the secret will soon be revealed and they will know what all the fuss is about.

All about Eva

Meanwhile, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) will meet with Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) and beg for forgiveness, hoping to return to her mother's good graces.

Eva is beginning to understand why Leslie was so bitter toward the Richardson family since Anita, Vernon, and Nicole Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix) have been so hateful since the revelations at the anniversary party. Eva was not aware of their vindictiveness but now she is experiecing it first hand.

The Duprees have dismissed Leslie's daughter

On Monday, Eva was getting food at a local bar when she ran into Anita and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), who were getting drinks. Dani lured Eva to the table by pretending she and her mother wanted to make amends. At first, everything was going well until Anita made it clear that she would never consider Ms. Thomas a part of the Dupree family because of her role in breaking up Nicole and Ted Richardson's (Maurice Johnson) marriage.

Eva became emotional, and spoilers say she might turn to the only person she believes is on her side. Unfortunately, Leslie will reject all efforts of her daughter to reconcile, which may cause her to spiral out of control.

She may run into Ted, but will he express empathy or reject his daughter? She could find herself in a situation similar to Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) on the sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful. Luna desperately wants a relationship with her father, John Finnegan (Tanner Novlin), but he rejects her like everyone else.

Will reconciliation ever take place?

Eva is desperate for love and acceptance, but it may not come right away, if ever. She is alone right now and feeling pretty bad about it. In the meantime, spoilers tease that Vernon and Anita will rally their family members, possibly suggesting they show a united front at the Country Club.

Although Nicole did nothing to deserve her current situation, she has been hiding. Her parents want to present a united front, and now that the initial shock is over, they will be dealing with damage repair. Vernon and Anita might push her to hold her head high and walk in confidence despite her broken heart.
