Best Anime on Crunchyroll

The list of great anime is vast and different for every person! Here’s one of my lists of some of the best anime’s on Crunchyroll!

Dandadan

This show came in hot with two kids getting into an argument about whether aliens and Yokai are real. Best way to find out? Have the other go to a popular siting place to see if they are real and they decide to go alone. Best way to solve that problem, right? Wrong! They both somehow prove each other right and get into precarious situations where they need each other's help. We watch as these two kids gain new powers and have to fight aliens and spirit monsters! It is hilarious, full of action, and keeps you on your toes!

Gachiakuta

One of the newest anime's to hit Crunchyroll, this one is about a boy who lives on the surface and those who break the rules get thrown in the pit. The surface is home to two factions, those who are rich and clean and those who are not so much. Our main character is a trash collector and steals the trash of those who are rich and clean. He believes this trash can be repurposed or fixed. Nothing is trash to him. When he gets home one day he finds his guardian is being murdered and our MC ends up being caught as the culprit. He is sent to the pit. When you get thrown in there is no coming out. As he is strung into the air and released into the black abyss we see that the pit isn't what it seems. It's an emotional anime that tears at the heartstrings.

Frieren

One of the most loved series on here, it’s getting a new season in the winter of 2026. It follows an elven mage and her journey to the resting place of souls to be reunited with her partner. I have only heard solid reviews about this show.

Kaiju no.8

Through with season 2, Kaiju no. 8 is about a man who wanted to be with those who were killing Kaiju and save the people he holds dear. However, he didn't have the aptitude for it and never went farther than the training. He then decided to go to the cleaning crew. He now cleaned up after the battles were fought as his way to help his friends. After a few chain of events, he decides to try one more time. This time, he gets transformed into a new kind of creature. Half human half Kaiju. Now he just has to hide that from the rest of the world so they don't kill him!

Solo Leveling

One of the most popular on this list, Solo Leveling follows a boy who has no skill to fight in the dungeons, but does so to provide for his family. After a tragic and fatal accident he somehow comes back and able to get stronger with every step he takes essentially. Building up his power he has one goal in sight- heal his mom so him and his sister can have a normal family again. That road isn’t so easy when strength attracts attention.

Fire Force

With its final season in tow to premiere this year, Fire Force is its own lore and has a crazy origin story of fire and Gods. The Fire Force itself are like fire fighters but can wield fire and have special abilities to start or combat it. The creator also said that this is the world that predates Soul Eater. Which is really interesting to put those pieces together.

The Apothecary Diaries

Momo is a girl who loves poisons. She was raised with an apothecary and he raised her with the knowledge of the body and the different ways to treat and kill someone. She is out and about one day and finds herself kidnapped and gets sold into slavery at the palace. As she keeps her head down she finds that things are happening within the palace and it is situations right up her alley. Now she can't wait to be in the job she's always wanted to be in- The Poison Tester.

Spy x Family

Three unlikely individuals cross paths and a family is created. One is a spy, one is as assassin, and the other is telepathic. And yet the two adults have no idea about the other. The story is about their lives together and their secret lives. We watch as the hilarity ensues and they try to live peacefully as a family while trying to keep their secret lives secret.

Chainsaw Man

A little boy finds himself stuck with his dead father's debt. Now he has to work for crooks by doing whatever they say so he stays alive. He does most of his work by killing devils with his own devil sidekick that he found and nursed back to health. When his employers are lead astray and convinced by another devil to do its bidding, our MC finds himself in trouble and his devil steps up. They become one and we see what the chainsaw man is now capable of doing. It's a crude show, but the action is awesome and it is a cult classic.
