10 Toys That Shaped Me
The ones that sparked my imagination, filled my time, and made childhood unforgettable.

1. Lite-Brite
My favorite toy. It was so fun to create shapes out of the templates I had. I think I even used it as a night light sometimes. It kept my creativity flowing even when the lights were out. This is the one toy besides the super soaker, that i'd probably still use today if i had it.Which i know ebay has to have (so dont give me any ideas.)
2. Hot Wheels
I used to collect Hot Wheels. I loved them so much because I wanted to race cars as a child. They were fast, sleek, and made me feel like I was in control of something cool.
3. Legos
Legos were fun to stack and make things, but they were so easy to lose! Still, the joy of clicking those bricks together outweighed the frustration of stepping on one. For a few years in a row I had to have a least one lego gift for the holidays.
4. Super Soakers
Me and my uncle had the best time with Super Soakers. We always stayed up on the latest one, and it made getting wet in the summer super fun and active. This is probably one toy i would still get today. In fact not to long ago i went on a search for one.Because there were so many i wanted to know if they still made them. It turns out they do!
5. Troll Dolls
Troll Dolls had me in awe and kept me on my toes in terms of trying to keep up with the new ones. There was something about their wild hair and silly faces that just clicked with me.i used to think that they were good luck too and i wanted to start collecting them but other toys took precedent.
6. Etch A Sketch
Etch A Sketch just kept my imagination active. Twisting those knobs to draw (or try to draw) was a challenge I loved. I didn’t need instructions — just time and curiosity. The fact that i went through a muiltple numbers of these should teel you something.
7. Real Talkin' Bubba (by Tyco)
My Bubba was my best friend, and I treated him as such. I took him everywhere with me, and I didn’t even care when he couldn’t talk anymore. I hate that I lost him when we moved and had to put our stuff in storage.I used to do his hair, and when he broke he was still my friend lol. I hate I lost him.
8. McDonald's Happy Meal Snack Maker
This toy was fun and difficult at the same time. But that’s what made it so memorable. I felt like a fast food chef in training.I will say it was weird eating the snacks because my burger would taste like cinnanmon or whatever flavor they made it lol. So it would throw me off when my fries didn't taste like actual fries lol.
9. Tamagotchi (Camo Edition)
I had a Tamagotchi and I loved it — it was army camo. That thing had me setting alarms just to keep it alive. It was the first toy that taught me a little about responsibility.I think mine was akeychain as well or maybe they all were.nevertheless it had to go everywhere with me. I felt special because my sisters had gigs pets instead of one of these.
10. View-Master
What I remember most about the View-Master was the Sesame Street slides I used to look through — and how lifelike (and scary) the puppets looked! It felt like a window into another world.I know im not the only one who felt this way
