10 Pros & Cons About Pokémon Scarlet
Why am I so late talking about this? Well, first of all, I co-own a Nintendo Switch Lite with my brother. He lives at home, and I live near my university. Because he works full-time 40 hours a week, and I work approximately 70 hours a week between classes and university jobs, it made more sense for our joint-custody Nintendo to live with him for a little bit. Now that classes are over for the semester, and I’m back home for however long, it’s time for me to finally figure out what all the buzz was about. Neat. So, as I play Pokemon Scarlet for the first time ever, allow me to dispense my first takes on the game. Five glaring gripes, and five soaring praises. Let’s crack in.

How to Be Tilt Proof
Anyone who plays online games has felt it at some point or another. If you are a League of Legends player, you already know what I’m talking about. You’re fifteen minutes into a game, and the enemy team is steamrolling you. Each lane is losing, you have no vision control of the map, and you are presently being ganked by four of the enemy players. The other? That one is your lane opponent. You can’t help it. Things aren’t going your way this game, and you begin to lose hope. Your focus wanes, and your performance and decision-making ability take a nosedive. You are “tilted”.

The Evolution of a Female Gamer
When I was a kid, I was one of the very few girls who played video games. It wasn’t something that girls did back in the 1980s. Little girls were supposed to play with Barbies and baby dolls. They were supposed to play dress up and pretend to be wives and mothers, I guess in preparation for their adult lives. While I did play with my Barbies on occasion, usually with my cousins, I didn’t pretend Barbie was dating Ken or was always dressing up for parties. Barbie had real issues to deal with in her life. My Ken was often a murderer and Barbie had to solve the crime before the other Barbies were victims. Sometimes Barbie’s life was normal, but most of the time I preferred to play with Star Wars action figures, Legos, and Hot Wheels because there was more action to them. As the gaming industry began to develop, I started to shift to more video games. I was unknowingly laying the foundations of becoming a gamer.

Let Kids Play Videogames!
Previously, being creative was associated with either crazy (the mad scientist), money, or insane brilliance. But this doesn't appear to be the case any longer, does it? It's also not a particularly democratic approach to process and invention.
