Tarkov’s Armor & Weapon Repair Kits are Useless
(Intro) Armor and weapon repair kits are kind of useless in 2025 EFT. From their first introduction, there were used as a means of repairing your gear without spending an exorbitant number of rubles to fix them up. Depending on a number of variables, the cost would either be cheap and reasonable to outright ridiculous. But, in order to survive in Tarkov, it was a necessary evil. Gear isn’t going to last forever. Even before weapon durability became a thing, we were always repairing our armors to make sure they were as durable as possible before going into a raid. But in April of 2022, BSG added two items to help with that process; the humble armor and weapon repair kits. Items that when found in raid, for the longest time, were essentially invaluable to many different players. Allowing you to repair guns and armors without needing to dip into your wallet to do so. And while for over two years their inclusion was a godsend for many, myself included, things changed when BSG dropped the armor rework. Instead of armor just having a flat durability, now, each protective piece of that armor had its own durability. This system has its pros and cons when compared to the previous system, but one thing is for certain: armor and weapons are cheap enough to repair with money, making the kits useless.

Every Tarkov Raid Suffers From This Problem
(Intro) The worst part of any Tarkov raid is the beginning. Those first thirty-seconds are the tensest, most stressful and have the highest chance of you getting sent back to your stash prematurely. You see the countdown; you don’t know where you are going to spawn, but immediately as soon as your screen fades in from the darkness, you need to quickly assess your circumstance, where you are and figure out where the closest other players will most likely be. It’s tough because while there is a dozen or so spawns across most maps, there are so many variables that determine whether or not someone will be close to your left, your right, in front or behind you. Each map has its own fair share of spawn problems too; some worse than others, but the sheer number of times I have died within thirty-seconds off a Tarkov spawn is crazy. My shortest PvP raid of all time is eight seconds. Granted, that was a long time ago, before Customs expanded to have stronghold and crack house, but that is an impressive number. If you have had shorter raids than that, let me know. Regardless, every single raid in EFT has this problem. “The Mad Dash”, as I am aptly calling it for this video. It doesn’t matter what map you choose, what time of day, the first thirty-seconds are the scariest.

A Serious Conversation About Cheating in Tarkov
(Intro) Cheating in Tarkov is not a new conversation or concept. It’s around. It happens; a lot. Too much for anyone playing the game. People either like to rant about the problem, or not mention it exists. Sadly, we live in a day and age where most popular games of any size, genre or cost have people who want to not only ruin it for the regular players, but profit from it too. And Tarkov is no exception to that rule. There have been different arcs in EFT’s life when it comes to cheating. And as the game grew in scale, ambition, and popularity, so too did the people trying to ruin the fun for everyone. I’ve personally only ever mentioned cheating in video one time, and it wasn’t formal like this is going to be. It was more personal experience and off-hand remarks. But now, after playing this wipe for about three weeks, strictly speaking only for myself, I have had more blatant instances of cheating in 2025 than I ever have playing the game. Emphasis on blatant; I’m sure there were plenty of times where I died to someone who wasn’t a legitimate player, but didn’t have the knowledge to know sure. But now we have more in-game tools to assist in figuring out if someone’s account looks suspicious or not. Regardless, cheating in games, sucks. Cheating in Tarkov sucks. It’s gotten very rotten over the years, and I am fearful that it will only get worse. Today’s video honestly, doesn’t have a specific goal or message behind it. It’s just to have a conversation about something we all hate and would Thanos snap out of existence if we could. Because cheating in games is awful, but cheating in Tarkov is a different kind of beast.

The fishing village of Hillshire has been tormented by pirates hiding in caves nearby for decades. The pirates have looted the village, stealing horses, food, and money from homes. They even dared to desecrate the temple at the centre of the village, stealing idols of the gods of the sea. In the past, the villagers have always been able to fight off the petty raids and get back some of what was stolen from the raiders. But now they had done something unthinkable, using strange magic to lure away what the villagers valued the most, their children. The villagers are afraid to assault the caves, fearing that the pirates will murder their hostages. The parents of a score of lost children have put out a call for heroes to raid the caves along the coast and rescue the captives. The weeping parents have little gold, but will offer whatever they have to get their precious children back, and promise that the heroes will find plenty of loot in the lair of the pirates. The villagers have also drawn pictures of their lost children so they can be recognised and will show them to anyone who offers to help find them.
