2,000 Years of 'Final Fantasy'
Today I beat the first Final Fantasy (FF) game—albeit in the re-released Final Fantasy Origins for PlayStation 1 (PS1) format—and I feel accomplished. It's weird, I didn't really benefit anything from this, I am no closer to owning my dream computer, my wallet is not a nanometer thicker, and—at least for the time being—I've made no new social connections due to this. Yet, for whatever reason, finishing that game, reaching that all too distant credits screen, really filled me with joy.

'Resident Evil 2' PS1 Review
Nearly a year ago I said to myself, in a passing moment of genius or idiocy, that it would be a brilliant idea to sit down and play games that were released exactly 20 years ago, for a few hours, and then post online about my experiences with these games. This initially led me down a dark path, with 2017 being an overly busy year I experienced only a handful of my intended games—Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, Spawn: The Eternal and Fallout—and that handful left me utterly disappointed.

Why Modern MMORPG Games Are Getting Stale
MMORPG games are rampant throughout the internet. Many of us have played them, but for those of you who haven't, here's a little definition. MMO stands for Massively Multiplayer Online game, and the RPG portion stands for Role Playing Games. In these kinds of games, as opposed to the standard Legend of Zelda kind of RPG, are meant to be enjoyed by many people at the same time. There are even many different types of these kinds of games for all kinds of people, ranging from Text Based to Sci-Fi to even ones about farming. As the title of the genre suggests, many people gather and play together to complete goals in this kind of game. This can provide new depth and new game-play opportunities for most games, but with it comes many issues.

'Spawn: The Eternal' PS1 Review
Some months ago, I visited our local gaming and movies resale store in search of a set of video games from a particular period. The goal was simple: experience a couple games per month from 20 years ago and write a review on them. My results weren't as great as one might have hoped. Between working full-time, planning out of country trips, and trying to maintain my social life, my pickings for 1997 were slim. I did, however, manage to play a few games.

'Persona 5' Overview
Let’s talk for a second about one my favorite games ever, Persona 5. Let me just start off by saying that just because you haven’t played another Persona game, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Persona 5, as their stories are individual but share the same gameplay elements. Persona 5 brings new things to the table and perfects old formulas to make an experience gamers will never forget. If you’re like me and are an avid RPG gamer, Persona 5 is a must-have for you. Greatest Open World Games Ever Made
Okay, I exaggerate. Maybe not anything is possible, but from franchises like Elder Scrolls and Assassin's Creed, to powerhouse developers like Rockstar Games and Ubisoft, realistically there's no shortage of what you could do when presented with the ample amounts of abilities so available within the open world genre. Especially now, with the world churning into that virtual placeholder, literally and metaphorically strapping on a blinding helmet to cover our faces in the hopes of reaching that next, more powerful foe, open world gaming has been the mecca of optimal video game playability, storytelling, and performance. Otherwise known as sandbox gaming, open worlds allow players to enter a complete and utter fantasy land of their own free will and choosing.

'King's Field: The Ancient City'
The Ancient City is the third 'King’s Field' we received in North America. It was produced by From Software in 2001, but released by Agetec to America in 2002. I have never played the original King's Field, which to my knowledge was only released in Japan, but I have played the North American one and two releases on Play Station, and they are some of the best first person, hack and slash, fantasy games ever, yet they pale in comparison to The Ancient City.
