Is 'Jack the Reaper' The New 'Kirby'?
I've always been a fan of indie games that resemble games I grew up playing. One indie game that fits this description to a tee is the 2D action platformer Jack the Reaper. Developed in Game Maker Studio, Jack the Reaper is the solo effort of game developer Dream's Bell. At first glance, Jack the Reaper seems like a callback to some obscure Super Nintendo action game, but upon playing has more in common with Kirby. In Jack the Reaper, the titular character can copy enemy abilities by defeating them. Sound familiar? However, Jack the Reaper does a few things that make it better than the Kirby games of recent memory.

In Defense of 'Pokémon' Genwunners
As described by Know Your Meme, "Genwunner is a pejorative term used within the Pokémon fandom to describe those who only appreciate the first-generation of video games for GameBoy, namely Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow, and tend to bash the sequel titles and monsters in the franchise." Under this definition, I wouldn't be a genwunner because even though I think the first generation of Pokémon is the best, I still appreciate the other games. However, I don't find it unreasonable to prefer the first generation to the rest of the series.

What Makes a Tarkov Casual?
(Intro) Tarkov is known to be an incredibly difficult and complex game if you’ve never played it before. It goes out of its way to feel obtuse, unorthodox, but most importantly, unique when compared to many other games in the same genre or sphere. While it was not the first extraction shooter ever created, it certainly was the first one to nail down the formula correctly. Which is why it has grown so popular over the years. But what has become a by-product of this, is the general player skill level has slowly risen overtime. You go back even just five years ago; people were not generally as knowledgeable or skillful at the game as they are now. There was a decent chunk of the player base who had no idea what they were doing, myself included. The population playing the game was much smaller, so it makes sense that people were kind of just meandering around EFT trying to figure it out as best they can. At one point or another, anyone who plays EFT will be considered a casual. But this term and its definition has somewhat changed as time has gone on. Is a Tarkov casual someone who doesn’t play a lot? How much do they know about the game? Can they hold their own in PvP engagements? People will have their own definition of what a casual is in EFT, and today, our goal is to break this term down and figure out where people might place themselves if asked the question: what makes a casual in EFT?
