Fortnite Chapter 7: Week 1 Challenges

Seson 1 Fastest Ways to Complete Them

By Games TalePublished about a month ago 3 min read

Fortnite Chapter 7 Week 1 challenges are always the fastest way for players to gain early XP, unlock the first Battle Pass rewards, and get a head start on the season. Even though the exact list of Week 1 tasks only becomes known once the season officially launches, Fortnite has followed a very consistent challenge structure for years. Because of this pattern, players can confidently prepare for the first week by understanding the types of challenges that almost always appear and the most efficient ways to complete them as soon as the servers go live. Chapter 7 is expected to continue this familiar approach by offering challenges that encourage players to explore new map locations, test freshly introduced items, and adapt to gameplay changes added at the start of the chapter.

The first week usually includes a mix of simple tasks such as collecting weapons, opening chests, traveling certain distances, or visiting named locations on the new map. These are designed to help players naturally discover Chapter 7’s updated island layout. New POIs often become the center of early activity, so landing at these spots allows you to complete loot-based challenges quickly while also learning the environment. Since Week 1 challenges generally focus on exploration, you can finish many of them simply by rotating through different zones, gathering loot, and staying alive long enough to reach multiple areas in a single match.

Elimination challenges are another common part of the opening week. These tasks usually require players to deal a certain amount of damage, secure eliminations with specific weapon types, or defeat opponents in named locations. The fastest way to complete these is to land in high-traffic areas early in the match when many players are still gathering gear. A strong opening fight often completes several elimination-based objectives at once. If the challenge requires kills with a particular weapon, it helps to prioritize that weapon as soon as you land and keep it equipped even if you find stronger alternatives, simply to ensure progress toward the task.

Interaction-based challenges are also likely in Chapter 7. Fortnite often includes Week 1 tasks that involve using upgrade benches, purchasing items from vending machines, hiring NPCs, or consuming shields and healing items. Completing these early is easiest if you land near a POI containing multiple interactable objects. Once you learn the new map layout, saving or marking locations with benches and vending machines will help you return quickly in future matches. These challenges are simple but give excellent XP when completed efficiently.

Movement-focused tasks are expected as well, since Fortnite tends to introduce new traversal items or updated mobility systems at the start of each chapter. Traveling long distances, sliding a certain number of meters, using ziplines, or riding new vehicles are all challenges that typically appear in Week 1. The easiest way to handle movement tasks is to complete them naturally as you rotate toward the safe zone. You rarely need to force these challenges; they complete themselves during normal gameplay as long as you move actively and stay aware of the storm circle.

The fastest strategy overall for clearing Week 1 challenges in Chapter 7 is to combine objectives within a single match. For example, you might land in a new POI to complete exploration tasks, loot multiple chests for collection challenges, get eliminations in the busy early fights, and then rotate across a long distance for movement-based tasks. With this approach, it’s possible to finish most of the Week 1 list in just a few matches. Playing in team modes can also speed up completion because teammates can assist with fights, revive you if you go down, and allow you to attempt challenges repeatedly without losing progress too quickly.

Above all, the key to quickly completing Week 1 challenges is understanding that they are designed to introduce the chapter’s mechanics, items, and map changes. Fortnite rarely adds difficult tasks during the opening week, which means players can maximize their XP gains simply by exploring, fighting, looting, and experimenting with new features. Chapter 7 is expected to bring another wave of interesting updates, and these early challenges will guide players through everything the new season has to offer.
