There are two main types of fat: unsaturated fat and saturated fat.

Unsaturated Fat:

Unsaturated fat is a type of fat that is considered to be healthy and there are two main types of unsaturated fat: monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat. Monounsaturated fat is found in foods such as olive oil, nuts, and avocados, and has been shown to have a number of health benefits, including improving cholesterol levels and reducing the risk of heart disease. Polyunsaturated fat is found in foods such as vegetable oils and fatty fish, and has also been shown to have a number of health benefits, including reducing inflammation and improving heart health

Saturated Fat:

Saturated fat is a type of fat that is typically solid at room temperature and is found in animal products such as meat, dairy, and eggs. It is generally considered to be less healthy than unsaturated fat and has been linked to an increased risk of heart disease and other health problems. Saturated fat should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.

Why your diet should include certain amount unsaturated fat ?

Unsaturated fats, in particular, can help to improve cholesterol levels, reduce the risk of heart disease, and support brain health.

Unsaturated fats, which are found in foods such as nuts, seeds, and vegetable oils, can help to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol levels and raise HDL (good) cholesterol levels. This can help to reduce the risk of heart disease, which is the leading cause of death worldwide.

In addition, unsaturated fats are important for brain health. They are a key component of the cell membranes in the brain and are necessary for proper brain function.

Here is the list of foods that are high in unsaturated fat:

Avocados: Avocados are a good source of monounsaturated fat, which is a type of unsaturated fat. They are also high in fiber and other nutrients.

Nuts and seeds: Nuts and seeds, such as almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, chia seeds, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, macadamia nuts, peanuts, pecans, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and walnuts, are high in unsaturated fat and also provide protein, fiber, and other nutrients.

Oils: Oils such as avocado oil, canola oil, olive oil, peanut oil, and sesame oil are high in unsaturated fat and can be used in cooking or added to salads and other dishes.

Fish: Fish such as salmon, mackerel, herring, and sardines are high in unsaturated fat, specifically omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to have many health benefits.

Tofu: Tofu is made from soybeans and is a good source of unsaturated fat, as well as protein, iron, and other nutrients.

Olives: Olives are a good source of monounsaturated fat and also contain antioxidants and other nutrients.

Sunflower seeds: Sunflower seeds are high in unsaturated fat and also provide protein, fiber, and other nutrients.

Dark chocolate: Dark chocolate is high in unsaturated fat and also contains antioxidants and other nutrients.

Peanut butter: Peanut butter is high in unsaturated fat and also provides protein, fiber, and other nutrients.

Hummus: Hummus is made from chickpeas and is high in unsaturated fat, as well as protein, fiber, and other nutrients.

It's important to note that while good fat is important for good health, it is still high in calories and should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
