The Underlying Meaning of '6-7' (Opinion)
Multiplying meme of 67
Each generation has had different trends that seem so nonsensical to other generations. For example, baby boomers created the counterculture during the 1960's with the civil rights movement and the hippie movement. Generation X is filled with children that were into more independent thinking due to many of them being "latchkey kids" and due to the introduction of video games and MTV.
However, Gen Alpha has come up with a new meme that has captivated this generation for a couple of years. The meme is '6-7' or '67.' This trend has gone so viral that Dictionary.com picked 67 to be the 2025 word of the year last month.
Where in the world did this trend begin? The 6-7 trend was started by Skrilla, a rapper from Philadelphia. He created a rap song in 2024 called 'Doot Doot (6 7)' where he raps about murdering someone. In Philadelphia, the police code for a dead person is 10-67.
If you want to take a look at the video, then you can check it out here at this link. I will not embed the video because murdering someone is offensive and criminal. Murder can never become a solution that anyone should implement within their lives. I put the link there just to give context to this article.
How is it possible that a rap song about ending the life of another person became so popular with elementary school children?
Well, the answer is TikTok where plenty of things could go viral on a daily basis. The term 6-7 became really popular when Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball began to make TikTok videos with this song in the background. Plus, Ball is also 6'7" tall.
Once 6-7 went viral, all sorts of children started doing the 67 challenge where they say "67" and move their hands up and down. Here's a better explanation in the video below.
Nevertheless, 6-7 has a numerical symbolism thats embedded deeper than the actual summary of this popular meme.
When you multiply six times seven, then you come up with the number 42. The number 42 has a spiritual symbolism that not too many people are looking forwards to in the future.
In Revelation Chapter 13, the Bible text refers to a future world leader called the Antichrist (the beast) will wreak havoc upon the Earth for 42 months. The actual reference of the forty-two months is listed in Revelation Chapter 13, verse 5.
During this time period, the beast will call for everyone on this planet to obtain a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads. If a person does not choose have the mark placed on his or her body, then that person will not be able to buy or sell anything during this 3 1/2 year time period.
Children this young are not able to observe that the underlying meaning of this meme could potentially bring damage to the rest of the planet. By saying 67 multiple times throughout the day, children are unknowingly being used to chant for the eventual Antichrist to be revealed to the entire world.
The purpose of words is to convey a thought or intent to another person. When children are saying '6-7,' then they are opening a future door or portal for the beast to show up. Gen Alpha is now being groomed to evoke the future coming of the Antichrist.
If you are a parent, then you will have to tell your children to get over the 67 craze. Hopefully, a new meme will come around to grab their attention.
