Alfred Mosher Butts, born in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1899, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1924 with a degree in architecture and soon after joined the New York firm of Holden, McLaughlin & Associates. In 1931, however, suffering from the devastating economic effects of America's Great Depression, the architectural firm was forced to shut its doors, and Butts, like the majority of Americans, was laid off from his job.

My Apocalypse Dream Team
A popular game played in prepping groups is, if you could create a team of fictional characters to go into the apocalypse with whom would you pick, and why? This is my list of team players. I chose to not use characters from popular doomsday shows, like The Walking Dead and Fallen Skies, because they already proved they are strong enough to survive a doomsday situation.

Careful! Don't Drown in the Streams
You know that old adage “6 of one; half dozen of the other”? Like when it doesn’t matter what you choose? Welp, it looks like we’ve reached that saturation point with apps and streaming services. It’s as if Oprah herself announced “ You get a Stream.! You get a Stream! Everybody gets a Stream!” So many streams are flowing, one could easily get pulled under the water. Although we’ve all heard about Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, (not to mention all the news outlet streams), there’s pretty much something for everyone now.
