The Ditton Junction rail crash, 1912
On 17th September 1912, a late afternoon express train, packed with holidaymakers returning to Liverpool from Chester, left the rails just to the east of Ditton Junction railway station and crashed into the brickwork of the bridge that carried Hale Road over the railway. Thirteen passengers were killed, although a horse had a very lucky escape.

Lê Phổ
Vietnamese workmanship has verifiably been less addressed in the worldwide craftsmanship market than other Southeast Asian nations. Notwithstanding, crafted by twentieth century craftsman Lê Phổ has reliably shown a solid presence in both private assortments and at sell off. Lê Phổ was among the principal specialists to substantially interface Western Impressionism with old style Vietnamese themes and is today associated with his lavish compositions of blossoms.

The Yin to Saint Nicholas' Yang
I love Marvel movies. I don't think that the boys and I have missed one. They linked to some of my favorite memories. The four of us planning a trip to the movie theaters- the popcorn, candy, the arguments over seating arrangements, the LONG discussions afterward on the Marvel movie's whole plot and how it ties into the others. Will there be a part 2? I am a big fan of Doctor Strange- my kids not so much. But, by far- I loved the Thor movies. And Loki was my favorite character. I don't know why. He was always trying to get the upper hand, he was not a good person, but he was funny! What I didn't know was that the whole movie is base on Norse mythology.

Loki
Loki is one of the most notorious beings of Norse mythology, and subsequent modern story lines, but he gets a bad rap as a delinquent and intentional troublemaker. In truth he is the kid in the neighborhood that has a less than favorable home life so other households unofficially adopt him. For Loki that means he's the son of a giant who the gods and goddesses of Asgard tolerate because of the boys will be boy’s mentality. The legends of Ragnarok state that Loki will be part of the opposing force against the Aesir, which makes people think that he is a villain. It's important to look deeper though because the Aesir sealed their own fate when it comes to Loki being a villain.

The Medieval Era
So many of us faintly remember this period of time from our school days. We learnt the names and dates of Kings and Queens for our history exams, and found the ‘info’ comes in handy for the odd pub quiz. For me personally, being so interested and fascinated by history, I couldn’t wait to start this Era --- but where to start? When I got out my history books, this time in history seemed endless --- but I found myself reading for hours --- my husband has never seen me so quiet!

If this, then that
If you are in any way someone like me, who’s always living in the clouds, creating my own ideas, obsessed with the unknown, thirsty for history and it’s knowledge, and wondering if conspiracy theories are a thing, then these suggestions are suited for you.

The Defeat of the Spanish Armada, 1588
The defeat of the Spanish Armada was one of the great turning points of English history. Before, there was a real possibility that England could suffer another “1066” and be conquered by a foreign power. Afterwards, Queen Elizabeth I enjoyed security on her throne and England was set to become a major world power and the champion of Protestantism in Europe.
