Republic Day of India is celebrated on January 26th every year to mark the day when the Constitution of India came into effect on January 26, 1950, making India a republic. On this day, a grand parade is held in the capital, New Delhi, which is attended by dignitaries from all over the world, as well as a large number of people from all over India. The parade starts from the Rashtrapati Bhavan and proceeds towards the India Gate. It features a display of India's cultural and military heritage, with floats representing different states of India and performances by school children and folk dancers. The highlight of the parade is a fly-past by the Indian Air Force and a display of India's missile systems and military hardware. The President of India also gives a speech and presents national awards to individuals who have made significant contributions to the nation.
