A side hustle is work a person does on the side of his regular job to make additional money. It is not a second job or a part-time job. Usually, a side hustle is something the person enjoys doing. He considers it fun rather than work.

Celebrities Have Side Hustles

You might think some of the well-known celebrities are busy enough making money on their main job without having side hustles. Some celebrities have more than one side hustle in addition to their regular job of acting, singing, dancing, or hosting a television show.

Clothing Side Hustles

• In 2018, Cardi B launched a fashion line with Fashion Nova. Her clothes sold out almost immediately. When she launched a second line with Fashion Nova in 2019, it sold out on the first day, totaling more than $1M.
• Lauren Conrad, fashion designer and author, has a clothing line with Kohl’s, along with a housewares line.
• Whoopi Goldberg, actress and television talk show host, has an ugly Christmas sweater line at Zappos.
• Selena Gomez , actress and singer, has a clothing and fashion accessory line at Kmart.
• Kate Hudson's Fabletics is in dozens of retail stores across the country with sportswear, footwear, and accessories.

Hundreds of celebrities have a perfume or cologne line. The list is much too long to add here. Most of them are women, including Dolly Parton and Sofia Vergara. A few men are on the list, such as Pharrell Williams and Justin Bieber.

• Drew Brees and his wife invested in the Louisiana restaurant chain Walk-On. The chain is known for great burgers.
• Sandra Bullock owns Walton’s Fancy and Staple restaurant that hosts happy hours, catering services, a full dinner menu, and a gift shop.

• In 2013, George Clooney and some friends launched a tequila business that produced a hangover-free spirit. Four years later, their Casamigos tequila brand sold for $1 billion.
• Snoop Dogg is a big name in the growing marijuana industry. He is in partnership with Canadian marijuana manufacturers.
• Drake launched his Virginia Black whiskey in 2016. He has an international deal where it’s featured in the Dubai Airport.

• Ellen DeGeneres gave up her daytime talk show after 19 seasons, but she still has some side hustles. Among other things, she has her own lifestyle brand called ED. It has some of the same products a department store has: clothing, accessories, skin care, pet gear, and a home decor line.
• Lenny Kravitz has an interior design side hustle. Kravitz Design opened in 2003, and is best known for its residential interior design, even though it also does commercial and product design.
• Since 2002, Venus Williams has been on top of the world of interior design. Her firm, V Starr, designs high-end residential properties, hotels, and other public spaces.

Taylor Swift has a long list of merchandise, including perfume, makeup kits, scented candles, shirts, hoodies, accessories, music books, coloring books, and activity books.

The Kardashians and the Jenners

What the Kardashians and Jenners do to make millions is not considered a side hustle. Their brands of clothes, perfumes, skincare, and makeup are their main moneymakers. Unlike other celebrities, their primary careers are not acting, singing, dancing, or hosting. Their brands are not side hustles. Instead, their brands are their main hustles.
