Sunak and Zelensky Will Meet At Chequers.
UK To Send New Long Range Attack Drones.

Rishi Sunak has announced that the UK is sending new long-range attack drones to Ukraine. Sunak and Zelensky will meet at the Prime Ministerial retreat called Chequers. This ancient hall is in the country away from the hustle and bustle of London. Chequers have been used by many Prime Ministers including Winston Churchill during Britain's darkest days.
The war in Ukraine could be coming to a head. Ukraine is ready to launch a counter-attack against Russian forces. Russia and Ukraine have been battling it out in eastern Ukraine for ages. But things seem to have reached a point where Ukraine feels confident enough to launch a counter-offensive against the Russians.
Before this Vlodymir Zelensky has been touring Europe in a bid to get extra help going forward. France has pledged extra weapons for the Ukrainian war effort. Germany is also sending weapons to help Ukraine win this war. The UK has also given long-range missiles to Ukraine.
Zelensky must feel the momentum and history is with the Ukrainians. At this crucial time in the war where Ukraine has Russia on the back foot, Zelensky is touring Europe to make sure he is backed both militarily and in other ways by NATO. With Germany, France, the UK, etc, giving Zelensky both military and moral support they must feel also the war is going in Zelensky's favour. This Ukrainian counter-offensive (soon to be launched) will be a crucial and groundbreaking event in the war. It may turn the tide against Russia in this war once and for all. Putin has suffered reverse after reverse in this war and this counter-offensive (when launched) could be the biggest reverse of them all. It could actually lead to the defeat of Russia once and for all. And maybe the downfall of Vlad The Invader Himself. Of course, all this is wishful thinking and speculation. Putin despite all his setbacks could yet emerge victorious by some fluke. But frankly, that would take a miracle to alter things so much that it would go in Russia's favour.
Russia like Ukraine has its backers. China, Iran, and South Africa. South Africa is accused of loading a Russian ship in port with munitions. Of course, South Africa denies all these allegations but if South Africa did back Russia it would not be surprising. The Soviet Union backed the ANC during the years of racial separation. South Africa has never forgotten this. Now Russia needs help, and South Africa is or may be returning the favour. Returning the favour in moral support and probable weapons supply.
Sunak said on the eve of meeting Zelensky that the two men would be holding "substantive negotiation" over military aid. Sunak said the UK and the world at large could not let Ukraine down at this "crucial moment in Ukraine's resistance".
The long-range attack drones have a range of 200 Kilometers. The drones are a new type of drone apparently. Drones have become a crucial tool in the art of warfare. Look at the recent attempted and alleged assassination attempt on Vlad The Invader. A drone was seen exploding above the Kremlin when Putin was in residence there. Putin did not die and Russia accused the US of being behind the attack. Drones have become the speciality of Iran as have missiles. With Iran's ageing air force, drones have become the go-to attack method for Iran. Iran has even launched a drone aircraft carrier. Iran has been accused of giving Russia so-called 'kamikaze' drones. These drones are used by Russia as a terror weapon. These drones attack civilian areas causing death and destruction but also terror. Much the same as Palestinian rockets cause little death and destruction but cause Israelis much stress.
Zelensky described Putin as a despot recently and certainly Putin fits the classic description of such. But both Zelensky and Putin must come out of this war with something respectable. Something they can show to their fellow countrymen/women they have achieved. The fates of both men hang in the balance and this war will be the downfall or rising again of either man.
