Is this 2021's creepiest Christmas tree?
This news for you

NEXSTAR (NEXSTAR) - Krampus, step aside. The arrival of Woody the Talking Christmas Tree has been announced.
After a 15-year absence, a Canadian mall has restored its massive human-faced Christmas tree, bringing nostalgia to Nova Scotia locals and giving the shivers to just about everyone else.
"Warning: If you haven't seen Woody the Talking Christmas Tree yet, you won't be able to unsee it," one social media user stated shortly after the tree's debut in late November 2021. "It's nightmare fuel, yet you can't help yourself."
According to Tamitha Oakley, the general manager of Mic Mac Mall, Woody, who was formerly an annual staple of the Mic Mac Mall through the 1980s and 1990s, was retired in 2006 by the retail center's then owners, who wished to take the décor "in a new direction." However, in light of the pandemic, the mall's new owners recently decided to reawaken the "sleeping" Woody in order to bring joy to the local kids.
On November 19, Woody, who stands more than 50 feet tall (counting his base), returned to the Mic Mac Mall. (Mic Mac Mall) "Woody the talking Christmas tree was a beloved holiday character at the mall," Oakley told Nexstar, "but Woody was a very sleepy tree, and the children would need to wake him up every year."
Woody "retired to the North Pole" in 2006 (actually, he needed improvements and refurbishing), but he remained a "popular character in the city and province — and all the provinces of the Maritimes," according to Oakley.
Resurrecting Woody was "the first thing on their list" when new ownership took over the Mic Mac Mall, according to Oakley.
"With COVID, it's been a difficult few of years," she remarked. "They wanted to bring some joy to the youngsters during these difficult times."
However, despite all of Woody's goodwill, there appears to be some skepticism toward him and his unexplained human-like visage, with some jokes suggesting he's "the scariest Christmas tree in Canada" or that he requires "kid sacrifices."
News Now: Rain, wind, and even snow are expected this week. "It's been three days since I saw Woody the Talking Christmas Tree, and I'm still in awe."
Woody has also attracted a large number of fans from near and far in the weeks since his resurrection. Some people went to the mall to talk to Woody about gallbladder surgery (for genuine), while others have imitated his likeness in their artwork, manicures, and cakes. Woody was also mentioned by Jimmy Fallon on a recent episode, who compared him to the "red-light, green-light" robot from "Squid Game."
"A lot of individuals from the media have reached out, and a lot of people have poked fun," Oakley said. "We're happy to go along with it and support it." Our message, though, is that we brought him back to bring some light into the world for the children. Simply to do something amazing this year.
"He's a talking tree, after all." He's been described as "creepy" by some. However, we see many more folks who adore Woody than those who think he's scary.
It's preferable to dig the planting hole now in case the earth freezes before you can plant your live tree in January. Make sure the hole you dig is two to three times the diameter of the container or root ball of the tree you bought. The container or root ball should be dug to the same depth as the hole. To avoid freezing, the soil removed from the hole can be stored in a wheelbarrow or large containers in the garage.
Whether you choose a live or cut tree, a genuine tree can enhance the holiday experience for your family.
