Here's why I'm passing on the iPhone 13 in favor of the iPhone 14.
This news for you

Based on our research and reviews, the iPhone 13 is not only a terrific phone, but it's also the best phone. I'd choose the iPhone 13 Pro Max if I had to buy a new iPhone with my own money.
Yes, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is costly at $1,099, but it features practically everything I'm looking for in a new phone. In comparison to the iPhone 12 Pro Max, it has a better display, better cameras, and a longer battery life. Based on our iPhone 13 battery life testing, we're talking about approximately an hour and a half more battery life.
However, the iPhone 13 Pro Max doesn't provide significant enough improvements for me to upgrade, and given on early reports for Apple's 2022 flagship, I'm more excited for the iPhone 14.
The addition of Touch ID is the number one iPhone 14 rumor I'm hoping is true. According to speculations, Apple may include an under-display Touch ID sensor in the iPhone 14, which would make things a lot easier. When I'm in public or at work and need to wear a mask, I'm continually inputting my passcode on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
I won't mention how many times I unlock my phone every day, but suffice it to say that having Touch ID on the iPhone 14 would save me a lot of time. It's possible that Apple won't include a fingerprint sensor in the display, but a reader implanted in the power button would suffice.
According to another iPhone rumor, Apple is working on upgrading Face ID so that it can work with masks on. This technology, it appears,
The iPhone 14 could possibly be the first iPhone to use USB-C rather than Lightning, though one claim suggests that this will only be available on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Regardless, Apple may proceed in this direction as a result of European Union pressure to adopt the USB-C standard.
Without having to switch to Lightning, USB-C would make it easier to charge your MacBook, iPad, and iPhone. Furthermore, a USB-C iPhone 14 would presumably allow for speedier charging, as Apple has been limited to 30 watts.
The iPhone 13 charges to 50% in about 30 minutes on average, although other premium phones charge much faster. The OnePlus 9 Pro, for example, can charge from zero to 50 percent in 15 minutes and from zero to 99 percent in 30 minutes with its 65W USB-C charger, making it the quickest charging phone on the market.
Apple has been believed to be working on a totally portless iPhone design, but I don't think it will happen with the iPhone 14. Regardless, I'd like to see wireless MagSafe charging give faster charging.
A few of other iPhone 14 design rumors have piqued my interest. The first is that Apple's future phone may finally get rid of the notch in favor of a smaller punch hole towards the top of the display. The notch on the iPhone 13 is 20% smaller than on the iPhone 12, yet it is still bothersome. To get rid of the notch completely, Face ID would have to be moved beneath the display, which has also been predicted.
The Korean website The Elec has revealed that Apple will use a "hole display" on the iPhone 14 Pro series, which adds credence to the rumor. As a result, all that's left is a camera module.
Finally, the iPhone 14 is expected to include an updated main camera sensor with a resolution of 48MP. As I previously stated, the iPhone 13's cameras are outstanding, placing it at the top of our best camera phone list. But if I'm going to spend a thousand or more on a new iPhone, I'd like to see a significant upgrade from generation to generation.
With several months of iPhone 14 rumors to sift through before we see the new handset, I'm confident that a lot more information regarding Apple's plans will emerge. But, based on everything I've heard so far, I think I'll be able to keep my existing iPhone for a little longer.
