The Automotive Pioneer of Complex Legacy

Henry Ford revolutionized transportation,

Making cars affordable for the masses.

The Model T was his key creation,

Transforming America's working classes.

But this titan of industry had a dark side,

Spreading antisemitic lies far and wide.

He published hateful propaganda each week,

Falsehoods that Adolf Hitler sought to reap.

A fan of the Nazis, he took their medals with pride.

While claiming neutrality, he supplied their war ride.

Cooperating with occupiers in France to assist,

He schemed to keep America pacifist.

His plants became arsenals for the Reich,

As he turned over trucks by the thousand each week.

Yet back home he fought Roosevelt with resistant spite,

Refusing to build weapons for freedom's fight.

Brutal on workers who tried to unite,

He hired thugs to kill and beat.

His private police were a terrible blight,

Quashing dissent through violent defeat.

A man of innovation yet regressive affliction,

His bigotry and greed beg reflection.

Henry Ford leaves a complex legacy,

Progress and darkness distort history's trajectory.

      8Outstanding!

    • haha that's a unique idea to put into Poetry! Its amazing how broadly America and the Uk supported Hitler and nazi germany, until they were attacked. If Hitler only attacked Russia, Ford motors would still be sending them supplies.
