Will AI take over human race ?

AI is the future

The pinnacle of nature’s food chain has long been occupied by humans.

How come?

We are not the planet’s physically toughest species. Our skulls could be easily crushed to the ground by a gorilla without hesitation.

The quickest species is not us. The world’s fastest man cannot outrun a cheetah’s leisurely slumber walk.

Not the most venomous species, we are. Any day of the week, I believe an elephant would choose our bite over a king cobra’s.

We are hardly the toughest of species. Cockroaches can endure extremely high radiation levels.

We also lack any intriguing inborn biological defences. Porcupines have their spikes, peacocks have their plumage, and skunks have their farts.

The quickest species is not us. The fastest man in the world cannot compete with a cheetah’s leisurely slumber walk. The only competitive advantage humans possess is our intellect. We compensate for our lack of physicality with our ability to communicate, share knowledge, learn from our mistakes, make logical judgments, and raise our standard of living, which is far superior than that of any other species. The power of knowledge. A snake can never design a more effective way of living for itself. It will always use its poison to hunt prey and come back.We are able to domesticate other animals thanks to our intelligence for purposes like amusement and nourishment. By appealing to their most basic biological need — food — we may entice animals to do as we please. Shamu at SeaWorld is content to perform flips since it is often pampered. The chicken in the abattoir is fed until it is full to help it deal with the ordeal.

What happens when a new species that excels us physically AND cognitively is introduced into the ecosystem? They’ll domesticate us in the same way that we do with other animals.Machines carry out all of the physically demanding work for humans, from vehicle crushers that shred used cars like printer paper to cranes that lift metal beams to construct skyscrapers. They are unquestionably stronger than we are, and there is no end to what they can do. Machines are incredibly robust. Robots do not perish if their arms are destroyed. The arm may be easily swapped out with a fresh one, making everything appear normal. A person will pass away from blood loss if their arm is severed in a blast. Who would prevail in a fight between the antagonist from Terminator 3 and Connor McGreggor? I believe the solution is clear-cut.

As humans become smarter, so do machines. A computer is capable of performing many calculations at once.Consider a scientist who wants to disable a robot because it is becoming too intelligent. The robot quickly downloads every single human interpretation of body language and facial expression, learns what they mean, examines the scientist’s actions, and determines that the scientist is acting maliciously. then evaluates each and every scenario that could guarantee its existence and selects the best one. Due to his inability to consider every possible result, the scientist is toast. The human brain is unable to do that; instead, it responds to events as they happen. The crisis is then diffused by the robot manipulating the scientist in reverse by appealing to his worst vulnerabilities. If the robot had a robust physique to begin with it.Obviously, we haven’t reached this point yet. Even while Alexa orders sometimes occasionally fail to play the correct tune, as history has demonstrated, technological advancement never goes backward. We could advise everyone to cease advancing AI, but if someone doesn’t do it out of a desire for power and riches, someone else will. It is paradoxical that a species so fixated on retaining power is working tirelessly to develop a another species that would usurp it. We are unable to see the big picture objectively because of our own ego and self-serving interests. As humans begin to use AI to enhance their mental and physical capabilities, there will likely be a “have” and “have not” situation.

The richer classes will be able to afford “super AI” powers, rendering them demigods to the lower classes, which will likely have a net NEGATIVE effect on society.

AI won’t eliminate as many jobs,

Instead, enormous profits will be made and absorbed into the economy through a growing stock market, more possibilities, etc.

We cannot foresee. Bank tellers weren’t destroyed by ATMs.We cannot foresee. Bank tellers weren’t destroyed by ATMs. Cinemas weren’t destroyed by VCRs. Although services like Spotify, Pandora, etc. did kill off music shops and record sales, they were replaced by rising ticket prices for concerts.

Scaling up education is necessary. It is important to research higher-end employment, programming, and artificial intelligence. The best place to research these options is not college. Instead, organisations like Khan Academy, Lynda, CodeAcademy, and Coursera should receive accreditation and prepare individuals for the possibilities that may come around.
