This 'Star Wars' Comic May Have The Answers To Our Biggest Sequel Movie Questions
It is no secret that fans were left with more than a few questions when the sequel trilogy finally wrapped up the Skywalker Saga. The Force Awakens brought a lot of questions to the table. Who was Snoke? Who were the Knights of Ren? What happened to Luke? Where were the Ewoks? Are they okay? Every subsequent film seemed to provide more questions than answers, and the answers that were given felt unsatisfying at best and retconned at worse.

'Midnight Mass' Creator Believes The 'Star Wars' Universe Needs A Horror Film, And We Agree
The saga has grown so much since A New Hope first hit theaters in 1977. It has spawned many films, animated series, live-action series, books, short stories, comics, and videogames. Many more projects are coming down the pipeline in the near future. For the most part, we could say that Star Wars works stay firmly in the adventure genre. It has experimented with darker scenarios, like when our heroes turned to the dark side of the Force. It has depicted stories of political turmoil, like Ahsoka Tano’s trial, the fall of the Galactic Senate, and Princess Leia’s fall from grace during the New Republic Era. The upcoming Andor series hopes to portray stories of espionage set in the Star Wars universe. It has even dabbled in the winter holiday season with the Star Wars Holiday Special. Despite specials like LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales, and Joe Schreiber’s Legends novel, Death Troopers, the franchise is lacking in the horror genre. A certain filmmaker wants to change all that.

How Star Wars Legends Saved the EU
The Star Wars Expanded Universe has been a staple of the fandom for decades, going back really to the first Star Wars Novel Splinter of the Mind’s Eye which was the unofficial continuation of the saga back when George himself wasn’t even sure if he was going to make a sequel or not. From 1991 - 2012 the post Endor books and comics were considered by many fans to be the true continuation of the Saga. That was until 2012 and the Disney buyout when they decided to more or less reboot the Expanded Universe with the exception of the Six films and the Clone Wars series. However what many people may not have expected is that by going under the monogram of Star Wars legends, that might have saved the Expanded Universe in ways many people have yet to fully appreciate.
