Director For 'The Mandalorian' Showcases Footage Shot In His Backyard For Boba Fett Episode
The Mandalorian season 2 had no shortage of memorable moments. There were various directors and different feels for each episode. This gives each director a chance to put their own stamp on the Star Wars universe on the live-action front. It may not be too far-fetched to say that the show has become a testing ground for directors, as some of its contributors are moving forward with other projects within the franchise. Deborah Chow is working on the TV series Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Taika Waititi is working on a post-2023 Star Wars film that many speculate will take place in the far-flung past. Right now, the franchise has no shortage of directors, given that a TV show can allow for multiple directors for different episodes.

Some of the best Star Wars stories are in the books and comics of the franchise. While much of the older such material is now the non-canon Star Wars Expanded Universe, rebranded Legends after Disney's acquisition, post-merger books are considered canon.

'Star Wars' Just Revealed Rey's "Alternate" Dark Side Design Concept Art
Some of the best parts of films or TV shows are when fans get to see concept art for the production, especially if it is a sci-fi or fantasy story. At the end of each episode of The Mandalorian, concept art is shown during the end credits of the episode. Some of it looks like what actually made it to screen, and some of it does not. For example, in season 2 of The Mandalorian, "Chapter 12: The Siege" had Grogu eating what looked like a blue macaroon cookie. In the concept art during the credits, the cookies were not colored blue yet.

Dave Filoni Shares New Sketch Of Ahsoka With Baby Yoda
One of the best things about the second season of The Mandalorian was that fans were given a look into the life of popular ex-Jedi and former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano. Since she left the Jedi Order after being cleared of false charges not long before Order 66, we've enjoyed seeing where she ended up after that. When fans first heard that she'd be in The Mandalorian, there were high hopes that we'd be in for a real treat.

Mark Hamill Finally Picked Up His Power Converters In Hilarious Twitter Post
It might have taken Luke Skywalker more than 40 years, but he finally got those power converters. Ever since Luke's iconic whininess appeared in A New Hope, fans have poked fun at this Star Wars inside joke. It's a line easy to mock. One of the more lighthearted and memorable lines from A New Hope. Even Robot Chicken took a crude shot at it. And now Mark Hamill himself is in on it. Just like how Hayden Christensen acknowledges the funny awkwardness of the "I don't like sand" quote, Mark Hamill took to twitter with a photoshopped image of himself standing in front of Tosche Station, gleefully holding a power converter:

Moff Gideon's Cruiser Scenes In 'The Mandalorian' Used A 5-Foot Long Model
The history of camera tricks and filming secrets utilized in the galaxy far, far away is long, with many different tricks used to make the magic of the original movies and every subsequent installment. The Mandalorian has been breaking a lot of new ground with the things possible within Star Wars now, but it also seems intent on keeping with all the normal Star Wars traditions to keep Star Wars...well, Star Wars. While the photos of the mic operators wearing pink shorts have been making their rounds, long time fans will be happy to know that this is not the only tradition behind the camera that is being kept. Moff Gideon's Light Cruiser 5 is actually filmed by using a 5 foot shooting model, very much akin to the shooting models used during the original trilogy.

'The Mandalorian' Season 3 Cannot Release Until 2022
The Mandalorian season 2 left many fans very satisfied and emotional. Given what happened in the finale, a big moment that feels very much like it could have been an end of an entire series type moment, fans were at first scratching their heads, wondering what was next for the storyline, if it was indeed continuing. When the post-credit scene announced The Book of Boba Fett coming to Disney+ in December 2021, some fans spent the weekend speculating that this was the title of season 3, with The Mandalorian shifting gears by closing one book and opening another. Of course, we know now that the Boba Fett show is a separate series, and we have known that The Mandalorian season 3 would for sure be happening. But when will it come out?

'Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett' Logo Revealed
Star Wars fans were recently treated to a climactic finale to The Mandalorian season 2. After waiting to receive an answer as to whether or not Grogu would be trained, and by whom, viewers were given that answer and more. True to his word, Boba Fett ensured the safety of the child in exchange for the return of his armor. He hopped into his ship, created a distraction that let our heroes land aboard Moff Gideon's vessel, and jumped into lightspeed right into his own Disney+ TV series. Those that saw the post-credit stinger at the end of the episode got to see a hint of what is to come: a return to Jabba's Palace on Tatooine where a bloated Bib Fortuna sat where Jabba once did. Boba claimed the seat with his accomplice Fennec Shand finding a perch on the arm rest, right before we cut to the new title that you can find below: The Book of Boba Fett.
