science fiction
The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.
Swift and Blithe
“You mean I can’t even get a square? No e-cigs? Nothing?” The woman shook her head no and placed a patch on her arm. Her eyes rolled back in her head. “Damn, that feels good.” This spring day, where the blossoms have burst open bearing the gifts of the trees, saw the predawn decades before the Great Transition in the state of Delaware. Before every right was respected, the lawmakers had to tinker with the apparatus. Yellin Boer, gaunt and smart in dress and appearance, strolled up to the counter to buy some nicotine gum.

Befitting a Militia
The babies cooed at each other in a playpen. It was large. The structure supported about 30 young children who looked like multi-colored cherubs. Soon came crying. Tears rolled down faces like water oozing from a spring. A single cry turned into many cries. It grew louder and louder. Their bodies fidgeted and fussed. Adults, mostly women with breasts bare and men with no shirts on their backs, rustled towards the infants. It didn’t matter whose baby one picked up. All of the adults owned all of the babies. No one cared. The women fed the babies. Their baby? No way. They just took up a child and let him or her nestle up to their bosom.

Interplanetary Sunsets (Chapter 1?)
Leaning on the synthetic carbon guardrail, Voltrex seemed to be lost in thought as he peered over the majestic metropolis he called home. Not far in the distance stood an “under maintenance” digiboard, that was currently installing a firmware update. He recalled stories from his grandparents telling him of the pre-deceasing “billboard”; how bizarre it sounded, that a giant... well, board... was considered so valuable yet could project such outdated information. “You had to go to the store or visit their website to see relevant information!” They would say.

The Arch of a Lost Civilization (Part One)
Liz swam through the reef. Spotting a strange light, she approached a cavern. She looked back. Will the others worry? She continued onward. Something jumped out! It was just a school of fish. She squeezed her way through the tight entrance coming into an open space large enough for a few cruise ships. She looked to her right, spotting the source of a blue light. An arch stood, larger than the one in Mississippi. Liz swam closer. There were glyphs on it. They were unlike the ones she has seen in history class. Some were obscured by gunk. She reached a hand out to wipe it off. Then a blast sent her back and into the dark. *********************************************************************

Alex The Inventor - Chapter 12 (Pt.5)
Ebooks 1 and 2 (to date) can be read at: Deep Sky Stories Chapter 12 (Part 5) - Speaking to a Ghost He took a deep breath and shut his eyes in anticipation of the cold splash of water, but what happened next shocked Alex more than if the pool had been ice-cold. There was no splash; in fact, there was no water at all. Instead Alex felt a twisting, turning force pushing and buffeting him about as though he was a leaf on the wind. It seemed like he was falling yet it was hard to tell whether he was falling down or falling up. Soon, however, an equilibrium was reached where the forces acting on him were doing so in equal measure. Alex at last felt a calm, slow, floating feeling. Still holding his breath, he chanced a peek at his new surroundings.

Duck Rogers Adventures in the Third Dimension
A chaotic situation exists for the Fifth Level or dimension and that’s not natural, though it can be fun or disconcerting depending on the bent of the entity involved. This type of situation illustrated that there was no real need for the simulators after all. Or perhaps the Fifth Level beings were just stuck in some Sixth Level simulator and this was their challenge to move to the next level. The beings of the Fifth Level have created several simulators to enhance inner connection or the only means they are aware of for advancing to the Sixth Level of awareness. Although oneness is a natural process at the Fifth Level, manifest difficulties occur because there is not enough contrast at that level to clarify the higher-potential inner connection that will be the gateway of the natural telos. Therefore the Fifth Level (FL) inhabitants created several simulators to give those at the FL practice at greater connective integration or oneness through the theory of the Light Orientation of Velocity Evolution, or LOVE. These simulators have various levels of difficulty depending on the degree of disconnection or inner contradiction the Fifth Level being has. The administrators of the FL have discovered a problem with one of their simulators, The Earth Game, which was originally programmed to be a mild, creative experience that would enhance FL being in a natural and pleasant way.
