science fiction
The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.
Escape
He was now a soldier caught in the midst of an ancient war. Private Robert McKinney. A blast from behind thrust him forward, sending his youthful body through the air, nearly colliding with frayed streaks of barbed wire, missing the tangle of steel thorns by mere inches. Mud blinded him. He used the one clean spot on the cuff of his dark green uniform to wipe away the watery dirt from his eyes and flipped himself over to see a bomber plane graze the underside of low clouds.

Armoring Shadows
Chapter 4: A dive called Paradise The day it happened, it started out like any other. I remember it was a Tuesday. Nothing important was ever supposed to happen on a Tuesday. I was there minding my own business while getting wasted in Paradise, which was not as fun as it sounds.

UFlashO
“Hey puppy! Whatcha got there for me? Huh bud?” My dog ran up to me excitedly, with something in his mouth. He dropped the item on my lap and stared at me, his long tail wagging vigorously, and saliva dripping down his exposed tongue. My eyes widened when I looked down and realized what was laid out before me. My homework. “No no no no no this can’t be happening! Flash, this took me 3 hours to finish!” I yelled furiously. I got up from my bed and started to pace around my room nervously. I held my homework in my hands, or what’s left of it. I sighed. How am I supposed to turn this in? Just when I got the tiniest idea in my head, Flash took the rest of my homework from me. “No! Bad! Bad dog!” I tried to pry his mouth open but it was too late. He had ingested it before I got the chance to take it back from him. Perfect! Just absolutely perfect! Now I don’t even have proof that I completed the assignment.

Lighthouses on the Edge of Infinity
“Who’s the new meat?” The group sitting at the table glared in unison at Malone and his guest, the two quite mismatched in appearance despite their shared company. Malone was older, the dapper Italian gentleman with tanned olive skin and a flashy smile was dressed fairly well in a tailored, dark blue three piece suit and tie. His articles of writing tended to get published more often than the rest gathered here so he had the money to spend on the nicer things in life. In keeping up with appearances and the latest fashions, a constant paycheck is a must.

Armoring Shadows
Prologue. Been Dreaming It Forever I think I’m dreaming. Dreams aren’t real so much as they are impossible things to experience now. You can’t dream when you go into Static to achieve Haze. The bots repair everything in place of your brain so you don’t sleep which means you don’t dream because the bots can’t dream. Rest now is like flipping a light switch on and off in your head.

Lighthouses on the Edge of Infinity
Chapter 1: The Wolf’s Fool It's 3am again, and I'm awake and woke in every sense of the words. They say 3pm is a useless hour. It's too early to eat a meal that has a name, but too late to get anything of real importance done either. What does that make 3am then? Some say that the Hour of the Wolf is when the threadbare places in the world are worn just a little bit thinner. Thin enough you could poke your fingers through it till something else pokes you back. Or bites them off, depending on what that something is.

Blue Green Gem
"Nix feels very cold, even if he has a blanket. He needs heat-source. That’s why he had that necklace and earrings with blue-green gems. Those were not only jewelries, those were heat-sources, kept him warm during cold weather. You lost your communication crystal yesterday and suspected him to be a thief. He told that he didn’t take it but you didn’t believe him. You and mom punished him, commanded him to take off those necklace and earrings. He did so. Then you scratched his neck and earlobes with a knife, now he can’t wear those until those wounds are healed. It is winter here, he will not survive without those ... " Rhee stopped without completing her last sentence. She turned her face away, so that Yan couldn’t see deep sadness in her eyes.
