Not the tired born of a long day of honest work, or the tired of a long sleepless night, but the tired of a long life filled with the ubiquitous hodgepodge of success and failure. Pride and regret. He leaned back in the soft chair, a soft smile on his mouth as his solemn eyes stared out of the window to his left into the dark. It was far past the children’s bedtime.

Laundromat
Adriana stuffed her hands deeper into her knee length waistcoat as she stared down the aisles. Situated in a neighborhood of empty warehouses, the laundromat had a tinted glass window with the words “Sam’s Suds” stenciled on it in fading letters. Adriana had entered a passcode in order to unlock the door. Occasionally a twitching junkie stumbled down the street or a distant car revved its engine. Though buzzing warmth emanated filled the room, she still felt cold. She was used to laundromats circulating aromas of floral detergent but this one just smelled of pungent chlorine. Rows of dryers had their viewing portholes sealed shut. And instead of clothes inside them, tiny fetuses floated in a synthetic concoction meant to imitate amniotic fluid. Somewhere behind the walls there must have been support units pumping necessary nutrients to the fetuses through a tube attached to their belly button. Some of the fetuses were barely the size of her palm while others quietly sucked their fully formed thumbs.

Chapter 1 I always go back to that moment where it all started. It all started with the first time I saw her. Her curly dirty blond hair waving in the wind as her hands fought to keep the rebellious strands tucked behind her ears. Her perfectly curved body that made me gasp with admiration as she shifted her attitude into her left hip. And I will never forget about her mesmerizing emerald green eyes that glared at me with such disgust, annoyance, and just flat out hatred. But when I stared closely into her eyes and peaked behind the walls that her pupils used to shield her thoughts, I saw her true feelings.

At Police HQ Jude paced up and down outside the door to Damian Diabolik’s office, feeling like a bundle of nerves. He caught several snippets of animated discussion as his boss and Yannis Rathmore aired their differences - over him. Rathmore was attempting to sell the idea of him going undercover and it was a hard sell. Jude thought that if the DCI’s face got any more purple he might explode. He wondered why on earth he found him so objectionable.

FAR SIDE OF THE UNIVERSE A Screenplay Series by Dale Calhoun The journey into the universe is long as the Crew of the WESSEX goes on from generation to generation. They left earth 100 years ago its 2128 their final quest is coming closer to their assignment to terraform the plant they are assigned to in the habitable zone They were finally getting closer maybe less than 100 years to go. Sitting there so proud of his son standing with his graduation class of 21. CAPTAIN ALBERT SWANN knew that this could be last he will see him for some 27 years as this class would follow many of the other generations that had gone before them, they are part of the new harvest of the new generation when CAPTAIN SWANN would breath his last breath in space. They would set the new government for the WESSEX and the new planet they would terraform. They would be the new mechanics and engineers for the AI’s Everything the good Captain new about Earth was what he saw on disc or A.I. projections living his life in space while his father had gone before him. Captain Dwaine Swann lived on earth and he told him many stories about planet earth. It was A.I that had engineered the stasis machines that the young could live on there years as the old to sustained life beyond his years until their arrival on their new home. AI had worked fine they did as what they were instructed to do build that which would sustain humanoid life beyond its years. Now it’s the new life through his son’s generation that would govern the new world. The good CAPTAIN knew there was no way to go back, because by now there would be no way to reverse what EARTH would become a homeless shell of life.

Transcript: Hello everyone, I want to introduce you to my brand new podcast, the 50s science fiction podcast. This show will be all about my favorite sci-fi-fi TV shows, movies, and literature from the decade of the 1950s. Why the 50s you ask? Well, I grew up watching sci-fi movies on cable TV growing up during the 70s, everything from drive-in monster movies to classic A-list films that were screened in theaters back in the 50s then syndicated later on. I will talk more about that latter, however, with the advent of the internet in the 21 century, I have discovered more gems that I either never got to see or never knew about until later.

The Boy With The Careless Smile
In 2072 a time where meaning has become meaningless. Where surprises have become a repetition. Where the little and simple no longer existed, where no more enjoyment existed. It was a time of nothingness. For an AI traveling through different areas nothing was different, no tasteful fashion or art, everyone was dull and boring. The AI has no means of learning anything new because there was nothing new. That is until he met the boy who would impact his life for good. On a fruitful evening a hopeful moonlight lit night the AI was wandering through a town that it never visited before called “Dry”. It’s funny why the name was chosen when it was quite the opposite in this town. The air was fresh and new, the breeze of the wind was air light and smelled inspiring. The AI was intrigued. Walking on a road that smelled like candy and the clouds were made out of a fluffy substance. Things were different here. Life was more inspiring, although it was night you could begin to feel that life was blooming here and hope was still a hopeful feeling. Unsure where to go the AI continued down the street. There were little modern homes each with different types of shapes like some looked like apples, some looked like trees. It was like this town was not affected by time, it was peacefully inclined and beautifully projected. This fascinated the AI with even more curiosity, as it advanced through the main long street of the “Dry” town. After walking for hours and absorbing all sorts of scenery, the AI grew tired. It sat down at a huge tree near a forest at the end of the road which it had finally reached. It reached out a sketchbook and began to draw the scenery. Drawing every little detail of what it encountered. From the bumpy but smooth grey textured road. To the homes that shone with its audacity and lights and different colors painted on the outer exterior walls. The grass that glistened with rainbow colors they were beautiful lights. It was a vintage feel with an add of eccentricity and modernity. After drawing every little detail, the AI began to look up and stare into the fascinating darkness above with bright little stars. The sky was embracing the AI with a show of dancing stars and glistening meteor shower. As in this time even humans were robotic emotionally and empty, except there were people in this town that were different like the AI was. Standing out with a personality, taste and curiosity. This AI never felt at ease or relaxed in the other areas that it had encountered. After all, his creator had the biggest heart in the world metaphorically speaking. Andrea the AI’s creator was a visionary, who enjoyed to travel, to wander in the world and to take the time to enjoy his surroundings while remaining peaceful and empathetic. After his years of traveling through the world and enjoying the simple things of life, Andrea’s spirit slowly was diminishing, he was dying. Obsessed with having an heir and wanting to have his dreams continued on, he took a child that was abandoned and broken physically and emotionally made him into a hybrid AI slash human. First of its kind unique and different. A successful toy, but not a boy. Tired of being a toy, the AI left to be a boy. Venturing in unknown places and continuing his creator’s dreams while working on finding his own dreams and purpose. All the venturing through life it led him here to this little town a hidden gem that may be the only one left in the world of dull. And he was loving it. The AI hybrid got up from the spot he was chilling at and began to enter the forest. Before entering he closed his small notebook and put it in his pocket. He began to walk into the forest and saw little butterflies with wings that had a glow in the dark floating aura on them. The colors were bright pink and a very light white. He smiled and reached out with his arm hoping that maybe the butterfly would land on his metallic left arm. And his wish became true the little butterfly sat on his arm and smiled with its cute little face. He began to feel at home in an unfamiliar place, a place where he could finally rest and feel at ease. The AI looked at the smiling butterfly and smiled back, the butterfly then flew away. The AI resumed walking through the forest and encountering nature’s gift and wonders. After walking for a couple minutes, he reached the beach and there he was. A tall beautiful boy with red hair, wearing a white shirt and black checkered boxers. The AI curiously looked at the boy from afar, the boy then noticed the AI. Walked towards the it and then said:
