science fiction
The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.
Quarantine
We had passed the three month mark and E. Coli was pronounced dead. There were the usual celebrations and stories. People posted about the time they got sick with it, how miserable it was. A remembrance was held for all of those it had killed throughout history (mostly just the elderly and infants, as usual).

It Doesn't Matter What Star It Is
It was the holiday office party at Heaven, Inc. and of its 112 attendees, David was the only one that was awake. His feet were up on the monitor table as he unscrewed his flask and took a pull. He held the flask out to the room of cots where his coworkers lay connected to wires and different sorts of tubes. “Anyone? Anyone? No? Huh. More for me, fuckos.” He cackled. The gummy gleam of his SECURITY badge winked light across the wall as he swung his arm back.

Find us, help us, save us...
DATA FILE: Audio Log CREW MEMBER: Medical Officer, Liza Murphy DATE: November 22, 2379 C.E. TIME: 0604 Hours “This was supposed to be a standard op. Land on the comet, extract the minerals and bug out. Needless to say things didn’t go as planned. If I only knew what awaited us on this frozen hell of a rock... I would have told captain Mason to turn around. No, I would have made him. We just landed a little less than thirty six hours ago. None of us have had the chance to sleep... There were eighteen of us originally. Now there’s only six... Mason, Rip, Dirk, Janie, Mags and I... The rest are dead... They’re all dead... We checked the scanners when we got here. They didn’t pick up anything out of the ordinary. I’d know considering I’ve been on over a dozen comets. I should’ve checked under the surface... I should have just... it doesn’t matter anyway. Those of us who were lucky enough to escape to the cafeteria when those things entered our ship have been trying to re establish connection with the satellite above us. I fear if we can’t... I fear that we won’t have much longer... Dirk is our chief communications officer. He says we should have a baseline established in the next few hours. I pray that he’s right... Mason told us to record these audio logs for insurance... for proof. If we... well...I’m sure you know.”

The Thaumaturges of Ravoshka
It was an unusually quiet afternoon, with the darkening skies looming over a large stretch of orange, barren land. His eyes and mind finally reawakened, though he wasn’t sure if it was because of the creaks coming from the machine he’s in, or a voice trying to reach out to him in the darkness. It took a moment, however, for him to shake off the wave of lethargy consuming his senses. Staying up late wasn’t a wonderful decision at all.

MATA
"I knew she'd make it", the woman said as she peered into my eyes. I thought I was screaming because I felt my heart racing inside my chest, but I wasnt. The woman I woke up to said, "You will be able to speak soon. Your throat is sore because of the tubes used for feeding and oxygen." I could feel my eyes bulging and throat trying to scream even though I just heard the news. "Calm down honey, it'll be ok." she said.

Short Fiction: The Visitor
Only the feverish night sky bore witness to the arrival of the visitor as he descended from the artist palette sky, as if standing in a glass elevator, and landed in a field. A cow mooed softly nearby. The visitor regarded the creature with only mild interest before setting off towards the stone wall that separated the field from the village further down the single-track road, a briefcase-like hold-all in his right hand.

A Filmmaker's Guide to: Cyberpunk
In this chapter of ‘the filmmaker’s guide’ we’re actually going to be learning about literature and film together. I understand that many of you are sitting in university during difficult times and finding it increasingly hard to study and I understand that many of you who are not at university or not planning on it are possibly stuck of what to do, need a break or even need to catch up on learning film before you get to the next level. This guide will be brief but will also contain: new vocabulary, concepts and theories, films to watch and we will be exploring something taboo until now in the ‘filmmaker’s guide’ - academia (abyss opens). Each article will explore a different concept of film, philosophy, literature or bibliography/filmography etc. in order to give you something new to learn each time we see each other. You can use some of the words amongst family and friends to sound clever or you can get back to me (email in bio) and tell me how you’re doing. So, strap in and prepare for the filmmaker’s guide to film studies because it is going to be one wild ride.

Story Idea!
Originally I had felt to title this Plagued, but upon reflection plagued doesn't seem like the right fit. It just doesn't convey the message of the overall idea the way I thought it would. I started with the title you see, under the usual cliche of zombie type apocalypse but as I wrote it just became something else.
