Algerian Prime was a unique planet. With three suns, there were only a few hours each day when it was dark. This was one of Aldon’s favourite times of the day and he would try to take a shuttle out to a remote place and look back at the city. It was difficult at first to find somewhere, but when he did, he always used that place to sit and reflect on all they had achieved.

They met in this secret place as often as possible. It was becoming increasingly difficult to keep these meetings secret. The risk of being discovered was great. If they were found...she shuddered. Capture was unthinkable. Its not just torture or death that she feared, it was the thought of being turned into a weapon that terrified her the most. They all shared this fear. It had happened many times before. They would become a part of the great enemy. As long as they could stay anonymous and hidden they could keep working towards freedom. Each was willing to die, each would refuse capture. They needed these secret meetings, they needed each other to stay strong and continue to fight. She knew they would all be lost if they could not support each other. What they had too endure, it was crushing.

Aldon knew the Council would be waiting for him to begin, but still he stood and gazed out at the landscape before him. The ground had already started splitting and opening up. As a result, some of the mining platforms had collapsed and fallen into the molten core of the planet. Many had lost their lives and now the Council had decided it was time to listen to what he had to say.

It is the first day the man resumed that the bot noticed that he spent long hours cleaning it. The other janitors had barely given it a glance, focusing more of their time on the floors and baskets overflowing with wastes. Granted, those were usually the dirtiest areas in the building. The building, housing over two hundred members of staff of a foremost tech firm, often reeked of dirt; scientists weren't often the neatest folks around. The janitors usually found it hard to keep up, and often left just after a few months.

Black Goop Chapter 1 - People Places breakdown
The Task Force- A task force created by the president of the US in response to the threat of covid-19. Originally this was just a panel of scientists and professors to help create additional policies dealing with Covid 19. After the population was hit, the president gave unilateral control of domestic affairs to the Covid 19 task force. This control would circumvent all checks and balances that are normal with government organizations. With this major satellite corporations such as Hughes net, Dish, At&t and Elon musk’s StarLink. In addition to major satellites companies running drones such as amazon delivery network would be taken control over by the task force. This network of satellites ,drones, NSA and FBI created the ultimate control mechanism for the remaining US citizens. This all powerful control was to a greater extent than George Orwells ever imagined in his book 1984.
