Solving Climate Change
David Whitaker plugged in his new Samsung Galaxy S9 into his phone charger, thinking it may be the last chance he got to charge his phone for a few days. Ever since the Australian Government introduced its latest Green Scheme back home, its cuts to greenhouse emissions were being felt in all Australian owned territories, including Mawson Research Station at the South Pole. I mean here they were in the South Pole, one of the coldest places on the planet, and the Australian Government wanted to make sure they weren’t contributing to the global warming phenomenon sweeping the globe.

What Happens When The Earth's Magnetic Field reverses It's Polarity?
From time to time, one reads about new signs that we are currently in the middle of a reversal period of the magnetic poles of our earth. Every new message about it immediately calls the catastrophe theorists and end-time prophets on the scene. Scientists, who deny the topic any explosiveness, are speaking out against these. So where's the truth now? Do we have to worry, or may we sit back and relax?

Environ-MENTAL
I did not realize until recently that there would be a day when civil rights, women’s rights or even my constitutional rights would take a back seat to my environmental rights. I mean Rosa Parks stood up when she sat down, but I do not believe she saw a day when a seat at the back of the bus would take a back seat to environmental survival and environmental injustice. I am here to report that as a victim of environmental injustice, I can quickly draw the parallels to violations of rights of any kind. It is very strange to wake up in the morning and ponder whether or not I am going to breathe today. It is even more strange and peculiar to see other people still acting and talking in a normal way that are not plagued with such a problem. I now count it strange when I do not have to think about breathing or think about the air that I am breathing. There is nothing so gruesome! Who can enjoy a day off from work when one is concerned about whether the environment in which one lives is safe and sound? Who can enjoy a walk with one’s dog or perhaps, just a walk, when one is concerned about the environment?

The Saharan Dust Cloud
As if, we have had enough environmental issues with the global warming, and the COVID-19 mess, a Sahara dust storm is causing us more health drama since it will give people inflammation response such as sinus symptoms, making a person feel sick and lethargic, and congestion from a runny nose. Sahara dust could contribute to cardiovascular problems. The dust does contribute to beautiful sunsets and sunrises. When the dust storm hit early in late June/July, it caused major allergies in easily allergic people.

One and a half planets
After a year and a half traveling to the outmost places of pristine Australia we saw our lives transform into a Magical Mystery Tour as we dove deeper into healing ourselves. One morning, after having a local brewed coffee and walking barefoot in a village up in the mountains surrounded by subtropical forest, we stumbled upon a principle that is all about healing the Earth. It was in Nimbin, New South Wales - the town that was born out of the Aquarius Festival in 1973 - that we first heard the word: Permaculture.

Apparently Streaming is bad.
For over a year now I have been on a journey of living more sustainable. I’ve been working on decluttering my house and slowly becoming a minimalist. Ironically while watching YouTube I saw this video where it talks about how streaming anything is bad for the environment. Listening to this video I was confused about how this could be bad for the environment since I wasn’t physically doing anything or buying the physical object.

7 reasons why YOU should care about the ocean
The ocean is so much more than just a large body of water that covers 80% of the surface of this planet. The ocean shields us, helps us, feeds us, allows us to travel. It's the reason humanity has advanced so far from those troglodytes in a cave to Gen Z's typing on their macs. It's where we began; it's where we (fingers cross for underwater cities) might end up.

5 reasons why we should look after the oceans.
1) It facilitates Homo Sapiens place at the top of the food chain Every single species on this planet adds to the richness of Earth’s biodiversity. It’s that diversity of life, that allows for new species to emerge, species with advantageous benefits that humans can exploit. Those species, and the interactions between those species, directly impact our economy and affect how we live and function via 'Ecosystem services'. So, the ocean that holds 80% of all life on earth and is the biodiversity hotspot of this planet holds untold economic benefits for humans. Elevating ourselves off the backs of other species is what got us to where we are now, the top of the food chain, or 'winner' of the rat race of life.
