Untold Story
The sun rose, dragging with it another uneventful morning as Cassius walked their morning route, ensuring no one had tampered with any of the enclosures at the park. The unusual and magical creatures exhibit put on by Aelix every year was a huge hit and a target for the rebels to steal any new valuable splices that Aelix created that year. A soft crunching sound emanated from the smallest enclosure as a lemur-like creature chewed on a branch. Its large eyes tracked Cassius. Snap. The branch snapped and fell to the ground with a light thud. Cassius smiled and flowed around another corner. Only to see a man touching the barrier for one of the dragon enclosures.

The Enigma of Higham Hill Road
The snow fell relentlessly - winds were blowing at fierce speeds. Drifts piled high above my head and the biting cold stung my eyes. It was a wondrous thing to behold! Finally, silence. All was still. I felt completely peaceful. The noise of modern life had come to a halt - but only for a short while. I breathed deeply, and relaxed into that stillness. The only sound was the faint thump of my beating heart, the breath that escaped from my lungs and the crunch of snow beneath my feet. I walked in a bubble of down. The cold didn't touch me. Time evaporated and all thought quieted down to barely a whisper.

Dawn of Darkness
The bright and full moon had just begun it’s leisurely descent behind the unreachable horizon in the realm of Laografan. At the edge of Darkroot Forest, a group of lightly armoured elves traversed the treetops under the cover of the thick canopy. The reason behind their disturbance of a usually calm and quiet night? A report of a large collection of humans gathered by the base of the Vadensnaw mountains. Thus, six of the greatest Elven warriors were chosen to investigate the race that had been experiencing the most internal turmoil and why they would choose to gather at the crossroads between the Elven realm and the Dwarven realm.

Phil's Remarkable Voyage
The little robot couldn't believe it. $20,000 for the best story, and it could all be his. Phil had never written a story before, nor could he even speak sounds other than "beep" and "boop," but that would not deter him. Just think how many Lego sets he could afford, how many things he could build. He hadn't entirely been sure how much that money that was, but Phil figured he was a whiz at counting his little studded toes and would therefore find it easy to calculate. A big number for such a tiny robot. There are usually only so many things a little robot could need, but in such a big and costly world it would afford him just about anything he wanted. He wanted one thing above all else: the parts to build a robot friend. Many of them.

At Ship's End
The spray of the tumultuous sea kissed the early morning air, leaving tiny pearls of water in its wake. Lucian Pax gently brushed the drops from the little black book nestled on his knees. He sharpened a pencil with a small knife as the sound of heavy boots halted at his back. Though Lucian remained the newest and youngest addition to the Empress crew, he had quickly become accustomed to Captain Ryke’s sovereign footfalls.
