Cora and the Tall Bird
Once upon a time, there was a little bird named Cora. Now, Cora was the shyest little bird in the big redwood forest, and she wasn’t that impressive. She was smaller than most birds her age, even the little ones, and she had a bland color of blue and green feathers like her dad. She didn’t mind, though. Cora loved herself just the way she was, but she wished she had a nice friend to share her days with, though.

Boy on Fire
She sits meditating in center of the garden, hummingbirds flit across the flowers and the warm earthy smell envelopes her. She stands, eyes shut, and pauses, listening closely to the natural surroundings. She can feel the ground around her, every creature of the soil. She smiles then steps to the side, her hand strikes forward in a clenched fist. Her feet never leave the ground and she begins.

A History of Violence
When life first arose on this planet, resources were in abundance and all life was able to consume what they needed for survival and reproduction without having to compete with another organism for it. Life is like water though, it will expand to fill every niche it can find until a balance between proliferation of life and consumption of resources is found. This concept is what drove life to expand until the resources any one species required was in short enough supply to drive Darwin's tenets of evolution. When there is a selective pressure such as limited resources, variation in individuals, and heredity of traits, evolution begins to act on a species to ensure it becomes better and better at attaining the resources it needs. Competition is inherent in this equation, and seemingly inescapable.

Deeds Done in the Dark
While journeying between quests, a strange man shows up. The sky rumbles ominously as the man produces a letter. Even in the growing darkness, they can see the swirled calligraphy and wax seal. It stands out in a stark contrast to the weather worn satchel that carried it. The seal shows that the letter is from King Aodhan. As lightening flashes across the sky, the messenger shoves the letter at Alduin. The fear on his face is clear.

'Upgrade'
Upgrade was so under the radar that I missed it completely when it came to theaters in my city. I waited for weeks after I saw the first trailer on YouTube and was super excited by the action and the thought of basically implanting super powers into your body. However, the movie disappeared from the theater as quickly as my thoughts of seeing it, as it was supposed to come out the same month as Hotel Artemis and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

A Tale of Two Hoods: Chapter 3
Rona didn’t need long to take stock of the new arrivals. Only three of them managed to stumble through the gates once they opened, but they at least had the sense to enter as soon as the sun rose. Getting a good night’s sleep with the Greenbeans would have exposed them to dozens of curious eyes. Instead, they flitted through empty streets, guided by armed escort, with only Rona watching. She hunched over the ledge of the roof where she had crouched waiting for them. An early morning summer breeze blew across her face, but her hair went untouched beneath her red hood. The night before, she had tied up her burgeoning afro into a bun. The hair bulged against the inside of the crimson hood now, but that didn’t concern her. The camouflage spell woven into the Red Cloak would shield her from curious eyes.

Review of 'Manifest' Sneak Peak 9-and-1/2 Minutes
Having flown back a few days ago from The Mars Society Convention in Pasadena, and time-travel being my all-time favorite genre, how could I resist watching the nine-and-a-half minute sneak preview of Manifest, a series about a plane that travels instantly through time from 2013 to 2018, to debut on NBC at the end of September?

The Children of Earth and Sky
A thousand generations before the time of the great flood, a race of travelers from the stars found a new home on a small planet at the edge of their galaxy. They called themselves the Nepa Alma and to the natives of this planet, they seemed an immortal race as there seemed to be no weapons that would harm these strange beings. The Nepa Alma were quite tall with light skin and hair. Their eyes seemed to glisten in the sunlight and glow in the dark.

Dark Facts About the Greek Gods
The Ancient Greeks reinvented the world through philosophy, architecture, literature and so much more. Lovers of learning and the founders of a mighty empire, the Greeks knew no bounds. They dedicated their lives to the Gods, carrying out everything in their name from drama festivals to war declarations. But the Greek Gods had a darker side that has become forgotten with antiquity. The Greek Gods, now dead, live on through myths and legends spun throughout the centuries. Here we will bring to light the evils that time has tried to cover, and unearth some of the reasons why those that were worshipped should have been locked away from humanity for good.

Can All the Problems on This Planet Be Fixed?
We live on a planet with many problems including right-wing extremist patterns of thought. This is by far, the biggest problem we have on our hands, the rise of yet another fascist ideology. Now, ask yourselves, why haven’t we fixed this stuff yet? Why aren’t white supremacists in therapy? Why do we take police brutality without protesting it except NFL players who are criticized for taking a knee? If we try to formulate concrete solutions to our problems, we might get somewhere. All it takes is forming think-tanks to resolve problems on this planet.
