'The 100': There Are No Good Guys
The100's premise, at first, seems interesting and vaguely familiar in the realms of young adult post-apocalyptic science fiction: a century after humanity nuked itself into oblivion, the only remaining people live on a self-sustained space station aptly named "The Ark." All crimes are punishable by death—unless you're under 18.

5 Underappreciated Sci-Fi Films
So, my underappreciated films series continues, and this time we're looking at sci-fi films. I love the sci-fi genre, but I'm also a very picky watcher. If it holds my attention beyond the first five to ten minutes, I'll give it a chance; if not well... then it probably isn't something I'm going to re-watch anytime soon.

Invalid Reasons Why People Don’t Believe in Astrology
It is very common for people to misjudge astrology, completely dismiss it and push it aside like a foreign concept. It’s often perceived as a subject for the spiritual and gullible, but that is not the case at all, in fact celebrities like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift to name a few, relate to their zodiac sign. That’s a naive approach to astrology too, as it’s not all down to just your zodiac sign. Let’s dive right in to Reason 1.

'Kin' Review
With the producers of Stranger Things and Arrival, plus the acting talents of Dennis Quaid and James Franco, you would think Kin would at least fulfill some desires of seeing a modern setting get mixed up in sci-fi hullabaloo. As the movie runs on, however, it becomes quite clear that the trailer drags you in for something that the movie will not quite deliver on in the final cut.

Are Ants More Human Than Us?
I became the proud owner of an Uncle Milton’s Ant Farm as a gift. I sent in my form and awaited my ants. The day they arrived was a happy one. Several had died in transport. This was to be expected as the mail service is not the most gentle of ways to send living creatures. I followed the directions and introduced them to their new home.

Believe That We Are All One
I hate being asked about my religious beliefs. My easily argued against belief is that "mainstream" religion was created as means to control an uneducated, unpoliced, widely spread, and disconnected population. We have well surpassed all of this. I do understand that I am glossing over many variables, many old religions and making a general statement here. I am not trying to push my views onto anyone or force an argument about religion. I just want people to open their minds more to the possibilities of alternative thoughts or even life without religion.

Home? (Part 8)
For a second I maintain my eyes locked on the screen, wondering. We were told that humanity was to embark on a ship to save itself from catastrophe, from the so-called "End." Our mission was to head to a new planet, inhabit it, and make it ours to create a new community where human life could be reborn again so we could maintain our species. We were also told that those living on Earth, which was the majority of the population, would inevitably die in no more than a few weeks. I know now that at least one of those statements was a lie.
