Nothing. That is all there was, yet what it was couldn’t quite be defined as nothing. Black, then a kaleidoscope of colorful geometric patterns playing tricks behind the eyelids as if they were living portraits from the creative mind of a mathematician. A duality of individual kaleidoscopic folds of geometry—one for each eye experienced simultaneously.

Casino Kingdom
In a time long ago lived a mighty king in the Casino Kingdom. His name was William. He was a fair and just king or at least he tried to be. He always surrounded himself with three guards, Richard, David and Mark, and a healer, Amy. This is because there were four evil witches trying to cause havoc in his kingdom. Their names are Stephanie, Lyssa, Nicole, and the high-priestess Laura. The good witch Julie and the good wizard James were kept busy by the king trying to counteract the evil spells. And when it was too much for them, he would ask his Elder Faeries, Elizabeth and Michelle, to search out the witches. They were usually able to disable the witches from causing havoc, at least for a while.

Physics of a Tornado
Tornadoes are considered intensely hazardous weather phenomenons and are widely studied in the United States today! A tornado is a rapid rotating column of air that sometimes touches the ground and in other cases doesn't reach the ground. When tornadoes haven't reached the ground they are called funnel clouds. When funnel clouds are spotted they are closely watched and studied to determine the severity and direction in which it is moving.

Cinderella (Chapters 4-6)
Chapter 4 Years pass like the falling of autumn leaves; each may be examined and declared individual and exquisite, but only rarely do they mean much on their own. Only when watching as a storm of leaves blows past in a bouquet of colors do they make up a whole, beautiful story. So it was with me. I grew older and taller, if not much taller, and my life was a happy one. I excelled at my harp-playing and, with Antony or Henri or occasionally my father as partner, at dancing. I spent my free time with my sisters, or with a book, or serving with the maids. A ball was held for Sarah and Suzanne when they turned 16, and another a few months later for me. I was called on by a few fellows, but not seriously. Cook allowed me to direct the servants for parties and dinners, and Papa stopped calling me his “Little Ell.” Mama chaperoned when Henri waited in the sitting room with me for Antony to come. I stopped playing pirates and fairies and learned to host tea parties and get my dance card filled. In other words, I became a woman.

My Visual Prediction of Humanity’s Transformation from Technological and Natural Advancements
We as humans are frail and vulnerable, especially our bodies, in which everyday diseases and accidents take away parts of us: whether it is a hand, a leg, or even a heart. So what if I told you that our future relies on humanity transforming into cyborgs? The definition of cyborgs today is a rare word to be known or referred to, but in the future, cyborgs will be our new definition of humanity. This theme first came to my mind when I first watched several movies, like Mr. Nobody, I, Robot and a few Black Mirror episodes, that inspired the idea for me to create my own prediction of how we, as humans, will look like, and how our world will evolve. Cyborgs are fictional or hypothetical people whose physical abilities are extended beyond normal, human measures by mechanical elements built into the body. As an 18-year-old girl living in the 21st century, it is fair to say that our world is not like 20 or 50 years ago. Every day, science and technology experiences life-changing breakthroughs, whether it is the development of prosthetic hands that sense touch, thought-controlled bionic legs and noses that smell diseases, which will be definite by around 2050. That is only 32 years away. When I'm 50, the world I will be living in as an adult will be excessively different from the one that I had lived in as a teenager. Therefore, for this theme I decided to manipulate my own models on Photoshop and create my own visual prediction on human cyborgs, changing their skin color, their hair color and maneuvering our current idea of a normal physical appearance, to a more futuristic evolvement.

Cinderella (Chapters 1-3)
Chapter 1 I have heard the stories that the common people tell about me—some near the truth, but as time as gone on the tales have become increasingly absurd. Poor princess, someone said recently, thinking I couldn’t hear her. Her evil stepmother tormented her until her fairy godmother rescued her. It took all of my self-control to avoid striking the woman; it was only by reminding myself that she meant no harm that I stayed my hand.

'Her'
It must be my fourth time watching Her. I truly believe that you should watch every film at least twice if you can, if not more. The first time you are fresh and ignorant and take the film very much at face value. The second time, you remember your favourite parts and look forward to those; maybe you mention them to the friends you’ve dragged to the cinema/living room to watch the film again. The second time you spot things you didn’t notice before. Foreshadowing, the colour palette, certain lines. After the second viewing, you can watch the film without really watching it. You’re familiar enough with the plot that that becomes more of a background noise to the thoughtful subtleties included by the director/editor/sound mixer/etc. You might come to better understand the key themes and the progression of character arcs. You learn to see the film in a different light to when you first watched it, whether brighter or darker. If it is a film you love, revisiting it can be a mixed blessing. You smile, laugh and cry and the moments you’ve always treasured remind you why you first fell in love with that film. However, you’ll also see little inconsistencies you missed before, and try to ignore them. Maybe once is enough after all.

Double-Edged Blade
A male warrior ran through the trees, thinking he could escape in the open field on the edge of the woods. He could still hear her haunting words running through his head, sending chills down his spine. She was, in her own way, torturing him by making him run for his life, and he knew it all too well. It was then that he started to wish for another chance, a chance to change how he had treated her. His lies and eventual betrayals were what put him in this desperate spot. He could see the field just a short distance away, and he felt that he at least had a chance now. The forest and the trees were her domain, so getting to an open area would give him a chance for escape. His only worry was that she was gaining on him, and fast. The trees overhead shook as a shadow flew over the warrior. Just as he had run out into the open, his pursuer leaped out of the trees and landed nimbly in front of him.

Blood on the Horizon
In the old myths it states that at first there was nothing but a great void that stretched across the universe, but then to the north of the darkness there soon formed a region of mist and ice, and to the south bore a region of heat and fire. Soon the heat from the south began to melt some of the ice that touched its regions and from this ice Daron, the Frost Giant, was shaped. As more ice melted more giants were formed, and together they roamed about destroying the worlds of fire and ice.
